Close again but no cigar. Some interesting cars on special offer for next week - I'm going for the Macan Turbo or GT-R. smile

Now that's close!

I was obviously so far away this week they haven't bothered to e-mail.

Closest I've been, got all my money back, 2 pixels out one way, one pixel out the other. Sh*t.

Would of thought I'd get one of the 200 pound runner up prizes for that ! How close do they have to be ?

Not bad for my first attempt.

I remember getting the Spot the Ball on the dot years ago.

Then they sent me a pixelated close up of my sticker X which was about 1 micron out.

First and only time i've taken part in such bks

There isn't a winning spot already there when you pick your spot.. Judges choose it afterwards.

Hi guys,

Bit of an update and answers to some of the questions. Haven't visited this thread for a while as made me sad to read!

The Range Rover listed at 64.2. I got 60.5k from GC Motors. The cash alternative amount would have been far lower.

In other news, I have just left a deposit on a 9000 mile, 13 plate C63 AMG. Very nearly bought a Lotus Exige V6 but decided I wanted to see the market on those for a bit before committing. The exige was the far more exciting car but the AMG has it's own strengths - the engine being one of them.

Not quite a brand new car but it allows me to put some money into my flat and have a good amount left over to invest and ultimately to put into my next car in a couple of years.

Good luck everyone playing this week.

Well done that man! Wise choice to put money into your property, and in the end you've now got a much better car than the RRS anyway! smile

So it listd at 64.2K and somebody bought it from you after it was registered to you for 60.5K, 94% of its value ?? Thats crazy !! How do the sums work then?

I've heard that they can't make those Range Rovers fast enough so are people paying a premium for new ones then ?

People must just be prepared to pay a premium rather than wait 3 months for a new build. A quick scan on eBay found this, which is the model offered by BotB. I've not taken account of options, but it doesn't appear to have many, if any options, it's a 16 plate, with nearly 4,000 miles on it and is up for almost £68,000!

That's not the first time that's happened either, is it?

Nope, last year a chap won an AMG GT followed by a Cayenne Turbo 3wks later.

And three weeks ago we had the second couple to win. She won a Merc GLE63 and her husband won a McLaren 540C in August. Then there another couple who won a V8 Vantage and F-Type about 9 months apart.

I can't help thinking they must be throwing a fair few quid at the game each week to be winning twice in a row.. Be curious to know how many tickets etc these double winners bought..
