I wasn't too close this week :-( Played for the Aston x 2, Jag F-Type x 2 and the Tesla. Actually had a play the other day and got some insurance quotes (via Go Compare) to actually see if it was feasible to insure the Aston were I were to win and surprisingly, it was only £1,100 which would be covered by BOTB after the first 12 months. So I'm going all out for supercars from now on :-)

I played for a classic 911 (of which only 4 in the classifieds currently meet the criteria) and a Caterham 420.

I change each time I play, depends what I fancy.

I think they pay for the first year's insurance. Just click the +£10k box to pay for the following years :-)

My results look like the poster above this week. Got £5.65 back or so.

I think I'm going to play once a month when there is a good offer on now. I played over £50 this month and realised that's how they are profiting quite tidily from these competitions. It's just too tempting to go for 10 tickets, to get the discount, and then add another £7 or so for the £10k, that much be their real kicker for profit.

Did the OP get his car yet?
Mine is due for IVA on the 12th May and should be road registered by the end of the month. To say I can't wait would be a slight understatement!

I think to get it fairly near is quite easy but after that it is just luck, I mean how can you accurately predict which pixel it is on ?!

You don't need the exact pixel to win, it's the closest wins. This weeks winner didn't have the exact pixel looking at the results.

I was one of the runner ups this week so won £200 game credit ... not sure if I should be delighted or disappointed!

Are you able to take then £200 back out or is it only credit?

If you can take it out then its pretty good. if not you havent actually won anything as you have to play.

I imagine alot of the time though, there are multiple people on the same pixel, and then it comes down to your next closest choice, which is why I normally pick my spot then surround it with another 8 tickets as a minumum.

That looks a lot like my effort this week got my money back but there must be thousands of us.

How many people have a punt every week?

Agreed. I would have stupidly ruled myself out this week on that basis, as my other 4 were no-where near my closest. This was my first (and was to be only) attempt early in the week, but they emailed me a 10% discount code later in the week so I had another 4 goes and was the opposite side of the target with those!

As an aside, the BOTB facebook page is worth a read. Always a few disgruntled posts slagging off the judges verdict and scam comments, which to be fair to BOTB, they do actually respond to most of them.

As far as I know it's 'game credit' so I have to use it but not really checked. I will use it anyway as their system clearly works as I'm in the 'maybe next time' camp now!

As someone who comments for BOTB on their FB page, I often have to step outside and kick a pigeon to stop smashing my computer screen! biggrin

It is a waste of time trying to depict exactly where the ball is, as the location is not set. You have to guess what someone else thinks, which is just random. So a dart flung in the rough direction is as good as anything. Sheer luck rather than skill, if you happen to get close (as I have done on occasion). I wish they had a set real location instead as it puts me off from playing without one.
