Very fair decision by the judges for last week's image... They simply decided that the guy near the ball was blind and therefore it didn't matter where he was looking hehe

Amazing, this week's winner bagged herself a GLE63-S AMG Coupe, will sit nicely alongside the McLaren 540C her husband won last year!

I'm not surprised he's gutted!
Did he win anything?
I know there are smaller cash prizes for runners up but I'm not sure how they work?

I was miles off... 5 Nomads and 5 Mustang tickets bought for next week, and I'm now a 'supercharged' member.

That may look close but when you look at the 1:1 image you realise it's many many pixels away.

The 540C seems to strongly resemble the MP4-12C... Weird.

rolleyes

They could only get hold of the 12C for the surprise. Just like pretty much every week. Are you one of the many people that points this out on the Facebook page as well?

Well guys, yesterday was a very special day but also one tinged with sadness.

To cut a long story short, I ended up having an offer accepted on a flat which was a tad more expensive than I was hoping for (joys of living in the Home Counties). I therefore realised quite soon after winning the car that I would have to sell it fairly quickly to free up a small amount of cash to pay for everything that goes with buying your first place.

I ended up agreeing a figure with a dealer for it with delivery mileage and therefore only had chance to do a quick zip around London and then back home to Surrey where the dealers representative would meet me to buy the car.

Problem was on thie journey home I became very quickly attached to my car and was extremely impressed with evrything it did. Unfortusntely, by this point the bloke picking up the car had made the journey down from Harrogate to collect it and I found myself not wanting to sell the car but feeling like I had to. So very reluctantly the deal was done and I'm now a lot richer but a little sadder.

A part of me wants to ring the dealer and ask for it back and pay their costs but I know that would mean a very tight financial situation in the next couple of months if I'm to purchase evrything to go with the flat.

I wasn't expecting to bond with the car so quickly, and the manner in which it was won and delivered gave me feelings for it which I hadn't expected (sounds ridiculous I know).

That aside, BOTB have been wonderful throughout and unfortunately increasingly as they get more widely known have to defend themselves from people shouting scam or fix. A real shame as they're a lovely operation.

Credit also to Stratsone Mayfair who were brilliant throughout - particularly Tom who I dealt with all the way through to driving away.

I'm still sad this evening that I had to sell the car and really am wondering if the dealer will let me pay their costs and have the car back.

On a happier note, if I decide not to ask for the car back then I do have about 55k to spend on another car so suggestions welcome. But, truthfully at the moment I just want my car back. frown
