Is this a BMW warranty? The cheapest quote I could find with BMW for their comprehensive warranty was £112 per month. That's on an M5 with 50000 miles (unlikely to find these low miles for £15k), £250 excess and no breakdown cover.........
£77.01 per month £250 excess no breakdown cover
Interesting how our figures are so different. Perhaps you have a lot less miles than 50000. My quote is for a 2006 plate.

Happens a lot on here these days. Most of the perpetrators would never talk that way in real life because they know would probably end up with a punch in the face.
yikes
Not by me, of course! I'm far too lovely. hehe

Interesting posts. So in summary, a full service of an M5 with brakes, tyres, clutch is over £5000. Then add a "what / if / when something serious dies fund" of £5k... That equals a £10k pot of cash set aside before you factor in the cost of the car plus finance.

Sound fair enough for someone on zero wages hehe

Crack on OP...

OP's gone silent...

I'm pretty certain the M5 purchase won't happen, much like the other thread he referred to in his first post:

Op has been busy getting his e38 ready for its Mot today and working on my Range Rover.

No one ever said I am 100% sure im buying an M5. I came here for opinions as I wanted to know running costs etc.

Hey, that's not true!

He's got loads of disposable income... in the form of a compound interest loan from the Government.

Any ultra complex 500bhp car like the M5 is madness without a solid income and some left over.

That's right, you never said you were definitely going to buy one. I'm saying it won't happen. And if does, I suspect the doubts and concerns raised by this thread will be at the back of your mind during the brief weeks of ownership.

So now you know the costs involved, what are your thoughts?

I've just seen the link to the car in question; On one hand it's great to not give a stuff what people think and assume, but has it ever crossed your mind that people might think you're a bit flash or trying too hard when you rock up at uni in an M5 – for just 3 months?

OP - have you bought it yet?

The fact you were asking here means you're unsure - which is fine, but many replies here think you're serious.

I vote 12/1 OP becomes Alan Partridge and ends up with a Skoda Fabia Estate.
Just going to leave this here.
