It's more that the car is very close to me and saves me travelling around looking for something, thought it could be worth a punt at £500 or so.
Well at that money and with a year MOT it would be hard to go wrong. But I would expect it to go for a lot more than £500. End of the day as long as you aren't expecting a minter and it drives OK it has to be worth a 1k surely?

This w124 260 looks decent...

My word that's really quite something. An utter bargain if it's as good as it looks. Expect to see it up for three times the place after a detail! It has only done 10k miles in the last 10 years.

I really like mercs from this era in solid colours and early bodywork.

Ooof. That is very lovely.

3x3 plates are the only private registrations I like too.

I am. Sweetening the pill with Sat night in a hotel in the Lakes (a 'Superior room with sea view' no less). I might even provide a pickled egg with her port and lemon as a special treat.

I have no idea what that means. Is it obscene?

Probably a military thing?

Old-fashioned pub snack to accompany an old-fashioned drink. That's how we roll. Possibly.

Sea view in Cumbria? You're not taking your good lady to Workington or Barrow are you?!

I really enjoyed my 540i/6 tourer, and still not sure to this day why I sold it (to Mr Gonzales, occasionally of this parish). I blame a new baby at the time and the associated pickling of brain that goes with it. For reference to compare with the one above, I can't remember the purchase and subsequent sale figure, but it began with a 2.
wavey

£1760 actually, but I've also spent something around £6k on maintenance over the last 40,000 miles with, I suspect, a lot more to come. Don't ask what it's cost in petrol...

It had a good day on the B-roads of Devon today, and I'm taking it to Isle of Man next month - I'll post a pic when I get back.

Well, as I've had a few days in the South of France, it seemed the least I could do!

I'm with lofty!

I suspect it's a combination that you wouldn't want the person you're sharing a bathroom with to try.

What is the score with the MOT history there? Is it because of the private plate.

Lovely car but seems almost too cheap to be true.

Looks like he's upgraded to an F01 and put the plate on that. He does say in the ad the plate isn't included so it does seem to make sense.
