Did no-one else get a 'nudge' from the view of a rare Viva estate beyond the target motor? And beyond that is what? A Z1??

Either this is an enthusiast sans pareil or it's his local branch of the EU-new-accession-social-club (aka 'hand car wash').
Can't be a Z1, they don't have pop up lights and the colour is wrong. Looks more MX5 to me, or maybe RX7? If that Viva Estate was a 2.3 Magnum, especially the rare 'droopsnout' edition, then that would be a great find, though not a barge...
I'd say RX7 too, but Reliant Scimitar?
I thought "ooh what an eclectic collection" when I posted it.
Viva estate and a Starion. Not so much a Nudge, but it tweaked my curiosity.

It's probably the Viva HC estate. The droop snoot doesn't have that bonnet bulge.

Anyway, the Jag appears to have a good MoT history doing a steady 10,000 miles a year for the past 16 yrs.

I'm half tempted myself so I don't keep putting miles on the X350 XJR.

What happened to that chap that joined the tread recently who had bought a drive-full of old Mercs and Volvos? He's been poorly I think and wanted a hobby. Has he disappeared? I'd be interested in his sotry.
Hiya. Am still here. Still got a drive full of sheds, got an extra Saab since last post.
Iam pretty ill most of the time (got a genetic condition that causes gout like pain in all my joints).

Done little bits to the Merc and the Saab, want to get the Jag fully sorted by end of year :-).

Still love my barges :-) just dont get as much Piston Heads tine.

Cheers
Andy
Apologies for my rubbish typing earlier. Good to see that you're still around, and I hope that you remain well enough to enjoy tinkering with your cars.

That sucks and rather puts my broken finger excuses into perspective!

Good luck and keep up the good work!

Looking for some advice from the huge bank of knowledge that is this thread. Been looking up and down the country, Sweden in this case for a nice un-molested e39 530i with the M-sport package and a manual gearbox, non to be had or they are shagged to within an inch of their life. And facelift e38 750's are thin on the ground anywhere and even more so here, sold mine, regret it massively..

So I'm looking at all kinds of relatively fun stuff, rear wheel drive, 4 seats and most likely German are my criteria and I found what looks like a very nice low owner 2002 AMG C32, reasonably priced aswell at roughly £4000. Silver with black leather. Very long legged tho at almost 175000 miles, but with a full service history and new brakes all around, but missing it's original AMG wheels. What to look out for on those? Apart from rust? There are a few to choose from at various prices too which is good. I know nothing about Benzes so any advice is appreciated.

The car behind the Viva in shot 1 is behind the Jag in shot 2 - RX7. I too noticed the Viva, but was also intrigued that just about every picture of the Jag sees the cars around it shuffle about.

Under budget, one owner and reputedly ramped 'n stamped 25 times. Ad doesn't list mileage (isn't that annoying?) but the pretty immaculate MOT history suggests it wears it's 200k miles pretty well, as do most LS400's that haven't been run into the ground.

Odo reads 85803 so 185803? Looks amazing for that mileage and what a gorgeous colour. Could you not get that asking price for parts if it borked after a year or so?

They don't know the meaning of the word, let alone how to do it.

Google is your friend on this one. There are plenty of things that can cost a lot to fix but fundamentally they are good cars. Intercooler pumps, charge coolers and things like that are expensive. Rust is a major concern, check and check again. Not sure if I'd be brave enough to spend £4k on a car with 175k.... You can get much lower miles for the same money.

I'm confused about Brexit, does this mean my 126 is now worth more or will my eBay auction flounder due to market uncertainty?

Thanks Graham. And no, thats the cheapest one in country atm. For used car prices Britain is heaven, Sweden, not so much.
