I just don't understand these people. It's apparently a private seller - who will have paid the full AT rates for an ad - so why not make an effort with it? It might be a decent car, but one suspects not with an ad like that.

I know that most of us sell cars only rarely, but even the most cursory glance at the competition would make even the dimmest of dim-wits realise it could be done so much better.

Usually very cautious with the incredibly vague adverts like this. It's relatively low mileage and looks in decent shape, although it's hard to tell because they picked the darkest spot to take the two poorly taken photographs.

It tends to mean there is something wrong the seller would rather mention in person and then gloss over it.

Even if it has a hidden problem you would surely mention all the good points about the car to get your mark on the hook. The end result here can only be a vendor feeling they have wasted their money on an AT advert. Then again there is a chance it could be someone old given they used the AT photographer instead of taking their own pics.

I think this looks rather smart. 0-60 in 6 seconds and £3,700. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...

I am quite interested! How do these drive?

Like that - interested in pricing as my 2001 Aqua blue, 105k miles example with cambelt/pulleys etc done at 103k miles will be on the market shortly with 8k spent on it in my ownership since March 2015.

Anyone got any thoughts on a fair asking price?

The big exclamation mark on the MFD makes me wary as well

Don't these have a raise/lower function? Wonder if it's set to max height.

It would have to drive briliantly to overcome the issues of colour and image*. Sadly, it doesn't.

  • Internet hearsay, personal observation and childish mischievousness. (But I still wouldn't).

Just been offered this at just over thread budget. V reg 728i, 80k. Owned by one of my friend's bosses from 2 years old and apparently well looked after.

Going to look at it mid week. Anything else to look out for apart from rust, fuel tank, suspension and cooling system?

Over thread budget? Very toppy if so. Think that's everything specific.
