Slightly careworn one-owner 540 - a P/X that the dealer couldn't even be arsed to wash! FSH but short MOT, £450 with five days left.

Looks very tidy for large miles, eight cylinders and winter tyres already on - winter wafting anyone?

I posted it here last week, surprised to see it still for sale.

3 months MOT. Hmm. for £2k wouldn't you put it through an MOT prior to sale?
It's due a service too. What big bills are in store?

Great car, but I don't think it is an SE as advertised.

Doesn't have the electric heated seats or the superdoop stereo.

There are so many SEs around, I'd wait for one of those.
That is an SE but an early one. The fancy stereo and electric seats were added in later model years.

In my orthopaedic shoes, I stand corrected. smile

Thought this was worthy of posting: low mileage LS400 in, erm, classic colors, but with a rather immaculate looking main dealer service record and MOT history.

Judging by that photo either the brakes need some work or it was intentionally crashed into the shrubbery.

I'm off this weekend so am heading to the highlands. Ingredients:

1 w124 300e, freshly serviced and aligned
1 father
1 booking.com app
1 Airbnb app
1 credit card

No idea where we will end up, but I'm picking him up from the airport on Friday morning and delivering him back on Monday morning. Skye and Applecross are on the list as he's not been to the highlands before.

Well I never, I have spotted the twin-projector lamps but they had never really registered with me.

Get booking now. Anywhere on the NC500 route is fully booked.

And comically expensive.

[We didn't stay in Applecross, but did overnight at Tigh An Eilean in Shieldaig.]

Kylesku is nice an worth the extra distance on superb roads.

When we were up there last, everyone was banging on about how busy it was due to NC500, no digs anywhere and so on.

I hope it doesn't get ruined.

I always book on the day and do well... I delight in the freedom of staying where I want to go rather than planning it.

Take a tent then, just in case smile

Everywhere we stopped folk were turning up with no booking and told there was nothing and to try the next town. Tourist Information were very helpful and persistent for the folk that dropped in.

Also, signal is less than patchy up there, so don't be relying on your phone to get you a booking.

We were still on our way home from the NC500 when we joined the fun at Gaydon. smile
