Very odd mileage in the MOT history. I am prepared to accept the June 2015 as a typo but there is strong evidence of an earlier 'haircut' but again from 80k miles to 70k odd miles so hardly seems worth it unless it did 100k miles that year.
Not sure what you mean.Looks like one low mileage owner until 2006; then 15k a year until 2010.
After that, only a few k in 2011 - might be genuine, might not be - then no MoTs until April 2015, when it failed and lost 9k. So it could have been on paper MoTs only, and exported and reimported. But in that 3.5 year period it could easily have done 100k.
It then did a few more miles as an MoT failure and is now without MoT after a year - off the road due to accident damage?

I don't think you'd need the actual car to be from Liechtenstein, just the plate? (!) (Not an actual plan. Definitely not)
Now that was what I was getting at when I mentioned "proper" laws. There's speeding and there's perverting the course of justice...I'd say it's not about performance: pretty much any car can run at 100mph these days. It's about economy and cojones and planning. I doubt a 3.0litre V6 or 4.0litre V8 diesel is more economical than a 2.0litre even when cruising at 100mph or accelerating from 80 to 120.
Goodness me, this total fantasy sure beats working. I have re-found Neal Champion's account of his record-breaking run way back in 1984. http://www.champ.org.uk/bikes/endtoend.htm
I understand we are getting off topic here.

Where's the threadist who wanted room for surfboards? I present;
Just 56k from new and currently in budget.
OK - so it looks like the bd lovechild of a hearse and a Silver Cross pram, but it does offer some flexibility on what you can carry...
Me! I have seen a hearse used as a surfboard wagon so your line of reasoning is good. Think I will pass on this though. Still keen on a big Beemer. Just seems to be an itch I need to scratch. The hunt goes on.....Just 56k from new and currently in budget.

They might have been limited to the single carriageway sections last time you were up that way, but they're the whole length of the road now.
But they're only monitoring the single carriageway sections north of Perth. You can sit at whatever speed you want on the dual sections.http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=...
A tantalizing concept, once the tat has been unbolted of course. Very tempted by this.

A real bargain if it's in as good nick as it seems.

There's no reason to think it would have a modified engine. Given that it's a 1995 car it almost certainly uses a standard 6.0 XJS / X305 engine, rather than the earlier, different JaguarSport/TWR 6.0 engine that went into the XJRS in small numbers between 1989 and 1993. Lowtimer said:

I would've said it could be just about anything Jaguarsport had lying around if it was really a prototype.
What they had lying around when they started was a stock X305 6.0 from the current Jaguar production line. Even if they'd had one of their old 6.0 engines lying around it would have been more unnecessary work removing the production 6.0 engine from the V12 X305 they started with and substituting the old out-of-production one, and they'd have had to make a new custom loom, which is an expensive business. Why on earth would they go out of their way to make things harder for themselves? There's no way any new production of the old 6.0 would have been sanctioned as they'd already some years previously taken the decision to abandon it for the XJS in favour of the later 6.0, on grounds of unnecessary cost and complication.

The blue 190E 2.6 - That rear spoiler really is. That's not an official Merc. accessory is it?
The Rover 800, did the factory really offer a 2 tone paint option? If they were going for a Merc. like different colour bumpers and Sacco pads it didn't really work in those two colours IMO.

I didn't think it'd be the old TWR one, but seeing as they've gone to the trouble of badging it JaguarSport I thought they might have, you know, tickled it a bit.Croutons said:
