I want this rather a lot.

No reserve, looks like a good history.

Only a 220, but nice colours, under 100k miles and £1,200. Wings done. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C795026

Back from a fantastic weekend on the west coast of Scotland. I spent a long time taking w124s, old jags (Jaguar XJS-Rs) with my slightly wasted mechanic from edinburgh last night who I bumped into again. The dad had a nice time, and we met a nice couple from Yorkshire who had quite a car collection - old Jaguars, an e28 BMW, an Aston DB2 and a Wolsey.

The driving, as always was great. Thanks r129 for the tips though we didn't get to the restaurant you recommended, getting no further than the Applecross garden restaurant and the inn for evening meals. The weather was spectacular, and our accomodation fantastically comfortable.

There's a new addition to the BI family.

This came up for sale on another forum and, as a serial car buyer, I couldn't resist it.

300e 12v - 12 months MOT - 123k - 4 owners - JRG - £550.

The car is really sublime to drive. The flat six 3.0 engine is very lazy but so smooth with power on tap if you want it. It makes such a musical sound, ranging from burble to warble to an absolute WOLF CRY at anything above 4,000 rpm. It really is addictive!

With 6 cars here now, it's time to move on the 190e. It's been a tremendous car to own, and I will miss it like I'd miss one of my own children. The problem with having a fleet of old cars is they all need driving to keep them in top fettle. There are a couple of people interested and I just hope someone wants to give it a deserving home.
wow that 300 is a bargain is it as good as it looks in that picture
Wow, I feel like I've missed a trick there. Lovely.

Yes. Probably better in fairness. Both front wings have been done and, whilst the colour match isn't perfect, I reckon a good polish on the doors would help blend the two together!

There are a few things to sort. The kickdown is lazy and it idles badly from cold. These aren't mutually exclusive and a few minutes with the Bowden cable ought to have this fixed.

Das blower motor ist kaputt! Still get heat and fresh air but not with any force.

Sunroof got stuck with the previous owner so he manually shut it and pulled the fuse.

Key doesn't work in drivers door but locks all doors from either boot or passenger side. I will likely fit a remote alarm with central locking to fix this.

That's about it. It's a lovely old thing which I hope to get much enjoyment from. JRG is probably my least favourite colour, but at this price you can't go wrong. It hasn't failed an MOT on anything significant as far back as 2006!

Wow, that sounds great. Having new wings is a big bonus. My sunroof is quite lazy, the boot lock doesn't lock or unlock itself (fine via central locking - leave jumpleads in another car), and sometimes it runs briefly on 5 cylinders when starting from cold - never caused an issue for me though.

Plot a long journey in it and enjoy it. Every time I drive mine after leaving it for ages it's like returning to an old faithful friend.

Nice colours on that. I love that interior colour. No idea why it's not more common.

For me, the price would depend on the service history and recent spend: if lots of work has been done that will allow me to have minimal outlay for the next year, I wouldn't mind.

Sorry to break up the German love, but this is a rather nice Swedish alternative. I know it's 3k, but looks very tidy indeed.

I see the plastic thingy on the driver's side seat has broken. They all do that sir.

It looks perfect otherwise. Wheels are as new, badges haven't faded, I bet even the pixels on the display are present and correct.

And 55 plate is the one to have. As new as possible without the VED hike.

This is a ten grand 124. It ought to be perfect. It's not. It is the classic example of a total try on.

Look at the grille. It has obviously had a smack because it is all stoved in. The wheels are tatty. The model designation is in the wrong place which usually indicates a bad paint job. Redundant phone antenna. Is that a big scrape on the offside rear corner? Why has the antenna mast not been replaced? After market speakers have been cut into the rear door panels. The Sacco panels are the wrong colour. It's a three grand car.
