i'm not an suv fan at all, but have one in the mountains. Rav4 never goes off road.
useful to have clearance, big tyres and 4wd just in case (tyres do the job 99% of time)
but i do chuckle when i use its abilities to park on shovelled snow at the local shop where cars can't. Yes, my suv gets me to the shops and back!

Could you describe in the way one should drive with an air of superiority? I need to do practice as I have a superior German car, should I wave my hand around as I zoom past lowly SAABs and your Volvo S60, snort chuckle...
Hire a Rolls Royce for the weekend and sneer at drivers of lesser BMWs.

I accept no responsibility for the feeling of terminal insecurity that you will suffer when you ate forced to return the Rolls and get back into your inferior German car.

Not indicating, generally cutting people up and never letting anyone out of junctions even in traffic. Yes its just a generalization but seems to be very common.

I'd very much like to see you try and "zoom past" my "lowly" 330bhp Volvo S60R biggrin

Tragic. Are you really still moaning about this misconception about German car drivers behaviour?

When driving along, sniff some cocaine while receiving oral pleasure from your premium hooker in the passenger seat and sneering at passers-by?

Common as in people who drive Swedish barges with a slight remap thinking that they are driving a Mclaren?

It makes sense to me now. He's pissed off because people who drive 180BHP 320d's or equivalent overlook his 15 year old Volvo with 300 bhp, but little do they know his Volvo has vastly more HP and should be nodding at him in approval.

It sounds to me he drives along with his 'air of superiority' but unfortunately no one recognises this as he has a 'sleeper' and all is lost and he looks like a prat.

When did I say it was some kind of supercar? It is indeed a 1650kg barge but is comfortably faster than a 330d even as standard.

Sorry if you are having comprehension problems as I never said anything like what you are suggesting I did.

With the 330d being the point of reference for all others biggrin

You seem to struggle with drivers of certain marques, your issue really. Would you like to mention something else it's faster than, it's quite interesting, no really.

I was commenting on a poster that owns a 330d quoting one of my posts. Pretty much nothing at all to do with you but you seem to love to jump on it. Do you think your posts have any point to them at all???

I could also point lots of cars my car is slower than but nobody else is quoting how they wave as they zoom past some old Volvo. Also that would be just as pointless as all your posts.

Yes, I love people who generalise about others only to then get a bit sniffy about their own car. It's ironic, and you can't beat a little bit of that. It's not me quoting power figures from an old Volvo smile

Thinking about it, I wouldn't mind if the 'casual amateur' drift scene went away- For me it combines two things I hate; Garish liveries and irreversibly ruining affordable older rear wheel drive cars especially the more powerful, manual gearbox and often LSD-equipped variants.

All this for what, some half arsed scenester to make smoke and noise with it until it ends up in a concrete barrier or a con rod makes a bid for freedom through the engine block.

I personally don't have time for proper competitive drifting either, but at least it doesn't claim quite so many old, affordable and / or rare cars as the drift scene crowd whose drifting is mostly restricted to motorway roundabouts.

When did I get sniffy? Just pointing out a fact. You got a problem with that?

You seem very excitable. Inferiority complex kicking in? biggrin
