Cadillac Sixteen with its 1000bhp V16. If only GM had decided to try to compete with the Bugatti Veyron....
Not really a Veyron rival because it wouldn't have the aero/traction to compete, but as a Rolls++ that'd do nicely. I seem to remember it had a cigar humidor as well, marvellous.Krikkit said:

True, not in terms of being a bit sporty, I was thinking in terms of it being the ultimate expression and vision of a faceless, multinational conglomerate that isn't known for daring magnificence. GM and VW are very similar in that!Whatever it would be, I just wish they'd made a few
Also, the engine is a pretty thing. My understanding is that it's not two Cadillac V8s cast together, it's actually two purpose built straight eights that were designed to be cast together and done that way to enable easy cylinder deactivation. I'm not sure on this last point but I think I read something to that effect.

Thats great...The thing that always irks me about the Bertone designed stuff from this period is with all the straight lines and hard edges, the design is somewhat ruined by putting a rounded and probably rotund, soft edged human inside it...
To do the design justice you'd need to look like Kryten out of Red Dwarf....

Very pretty indeed, but it's not even two straight-8 designs (there's no modern straight-8 anyway). They started with the northstar V8 and went to town with FEA etc to get it to a fully working V16, no welded-together blocks etc, but a full-on tested V16.More here from car and driver: http://www.caranddriver.com/features/cadillac-sixt...
For me I have to go with RX-vision mentioned earlier. If what enters production looks anything remotely similar I shall be on the list to get one.
That said, there is a special place in my heart (thanks to Gran Turismo) for the Dome Zero. The ultimate in cheese-wedge design:
That or the VW W12 Nardo concept from 2001, once again found first in GT, but that thing was a great piece of kit. Wonder how much of that ended up in a Lambo or R8...
