How did you get your start behind the wheel? Was your first car the envy of all your mates, or was it an embarrassing banger that always seemed to be conking out?

At Direct Line we’re going to reunite one lucky individual with their first car (or one just like it). The competition closes in 2 weeks! so make sure you get over to the competition page if you want to be in with a shout.

While you are digging through your old car photos for the competition, why not post up a photo of,

• Your first car
• Your best car
• Your current car

To get it all started, here are mine (three guesses to what marque I am fond of)

First Car:

Best Car:

Current Car:

Cheers

It may have been a bit rough around the edges and maybe it didn’t like to start on cold mornings, but your first car will probably always have a special place in your heart.
Nope.

Competition Article said:
In spite of its quirks, you had fun, experienced new things and built treasured memories together.
Not really.

Competition Article said:
But what happened to it when you sold it on?
Don't care.

Competition Article said:
And wouldn’t you love to have it back, even with all those little eccentricities?
Nah, but I'll take the £500 it might be worth.

You can't get me my first car (a C-reg Daihatsu Charade) back as it was written off when a BMW 750 ran through reds nearly 20 years ago. If you can still find any bits of it, I'd rather you keep them.

Best car is a 1996 XJ12.

Current cars are 1996 XJ12 and 2004 XC70.

My first car:

(Mine was stanced, had 28" Davin Onyx spinners and DRL's)
My best car:

(Mine was chrome with a PS3 equipped)

My current car:

(Don't forget, has a proper good rat look bonnet, Lexus lights and a Nono Team steering wheel (with a cover from Halfords!)

I spent a good £10000 on my beloved Motorwagen and it was already worth £66666669999999 before I sent it to the scrappie and A++++ condition!!! M8 i do have no claims (ignore me name) and if possible can u unscrap it??
Thx bro

An (also rotten) Mk2 Escort. I know for sure (I was the catalyst) that it has not survived.

So I´ll have a fully restored RS1800 please.

TBH I'd rather walk than have my first car back. In fact it pissed me off so much after 6 months I reverted back to cycling to work until I could afford something else! Pile of st.

My first car was a 2005 Peugeot 407 SW 1.6 Hdi. Possibly the least PH car ever, but it suited my needs at the time quite well.

It was such an exciting car, that I have absolutely no pictures of it whatsoever, despite owning it for two years. I once owned an Alfa Romeo for 48 hours and I have more pictures of that.
