I have been debating this very thing this week, and although I know I cant get my first back as it went to the breakers, I am contemplating the same vintage, model, etc...

First - Suzuki SJ410 (16th b'day pressie and used to tool around my parents caravan site in)

Best - 2007 Audi R8 (Using my annual bonus for good and bitten by it transpiring to be an ex CatC car)

Current - 2009 Audi Q7 (Ill use my daily as my TTRS doesnt see much daylight lately!)

What a great competition who actually wants their first car back? I'm going to enter just because it would be pretty hard to find a faded red H reg fiesta with a pitiful 998cc engine that was dangerously slow on the motorway. Do you also pay the whopping 1st years insurance I had to suffer at the age of 17? I'd prefer that cash sum than the fiesta hateful slow pile of crap it was.

My first car was awesome and if you can find it, I'll have it back in a shot! I saved and saved for years, sold my (motor) bike to get it and still had to pay the last bit to the garage in instalments.... it cost £375!

It was a custom painted Mini Cooper 'S' in three colours (hard to describe but basically, it was blue with a red pinstripe about two inches in from the edge of every panel and then black inside that) with wide wheels (still 10") and was great.

It ended up with black windows, highback seats. custom dash and had about 7 engines 'cos I was young, stupid and broke! Should never have sold it.

My best car and current car are the same

First car was a 1990 VW polo Coupe 'Parade' - Was a spiteful little car but I loved it. I had it around 2 years and I didn't service it once, not even check the oil. Never missed a beat. I wouldn't want one of those back thanks, even if it was the exact car; I'd only want it for nostalgic sake and even then I'd rather leave it with my fond memories.

H406 *KW I think. Stock photo (I have a photo, but only one and I'm in it looking very late 90's so it's not going online) but identical:

Best car, no words needed - I'd have another in a heartbeat:

Current car number 1 - Meh:

Current car number 2 - special little thing:

Good luck to them finding the single remaining Fiat Strada 70.

And if it's not day-glo orange like mine was, I don't want smile

Good luck finding my first car. It was fked when I bought it for £50 and it was even more fked(sideways through a fence while acting like Colin Mcrea in the snow, then ditched it while overtaking a Lorry) when I got rid of it.

Would I want it back? fk no! Horrible, miserable pile of worthless French st! Peugeot 106 key largo, the surrender monkeys couldn't even be bothered fitting a 5th gear!

Best car would have been my old galant V6. Current car/s Mazda 3 sport and an MK Indy.

Probably not the answer you were hoping for!

My First car (that is me, and I did learn to drive in it)

Best car

Current car is just a Mk6 Golf, same as many millions, so I wont bother with a photo.

Oh, I wont be entering your competition as I find your companies keenness towards driver tracking, and behaviour data collecting to be disgraceful.

Some bobby basic motoring for me:

First car: Was given to my free by my brother, 93 Civic LSI, 3 different shades of silver, Deadly tyres and a whole host of problems but it was a tank and even kept running fine after crashing it into a river and smashing the front end to pieces off the embankment.

Best car: Hmm ive had a few cars I like, Had a e46 3 series which looked great but was a 318 and slower than a sloth, DC2 tyre R but memory was soured by it being a bit of a lemon and rusting, Selling for peanuts to then watch the price of them sky rocket. But for sheer go kart like fun, The mx5 which was so good I barely bothered to take pictures of it:

Current car: Bought A celica 190 as a run around for £1400 while I decided what car I wanted, Has now been over 12 months and the thing has just been satisfactory enough and so cheap to run that I havennt got round to changing it.

What a pants competition idea. I mean the idea is nice, sure. But the reality is that most people's first cars were crap and even if they wanted one again it could probably be obtained for less than £500 and twenty minutes on eBay.

Unless you're very old and the car is now a classic, or very rich and the car is expensive but you subsequently lost all your money and are now poor again.

If you haven't already, go to https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/

You can see if your old cars are still on the road. 90%+ of mine are dead now.
