+1. The Recaros are an absolute must. So comfy, and they hold you so well, and look fantastic! Well worth the option cost!

Nope. You don't really notice it on the road (and don't you kinda want to know when you're about to hit the limiter?).

If you've got the RS Monitor option (a MUST with this car), then you can set how many RPM before the limiter it beeps at. I always found the beep really useful on trackdays.
On the early ones, you could have sat nav, or RS monitor, but now you can get both in a sat nav screen, and it does work well.

Totally smile. They really raise up the standard of the interior.

I love the leather seats and still look new after 3 years a daily driving! smile

I enjoy every minute of driving her, particularly the cornering ability, steering feel and the turbo pull.
Regular EU trips is no problem, sometimes with two adults at the back. The boot is ginormous and put all my Ikea stuffs with no problem...

The only issue since I have this car is I can no longer take seriously the german, I mean, the british journalists, loving their 45k+ M4 or S5 that are less practical and less comfortable (mine has the 18' wheels)than my 23k megane? What's the point of driving their readers away from such a great car?

A (non ironic) question though: How come a 275hp megane laps 7:54 at the nurb, versus an 400hp+ m4 does it in 7:52?

Is the megane much faster in cornering and braking?

A combination of specific tyres perhaps and fancy pads that won't overheat, plus about 250kg difference, but still, rather impressive !

I read the 200EDC has outsold the Clio 200,
As have I, so it seems that they were successful in making a car with broader appeal, even though sadly it's not a patch on the 197/200 in terms of being special or a drivers car or suitably different from the cooking versions.

They'll probably make a Renaultsport diesel crossover/suv next banghead
As a person who wants to add a drivers car to my current stable, I couldn't agree more. I'm in the market for something like this, or the earlier version.

"Lifestyle", what an excellent description of recent VAG products.

I am tempted to look at one of these (also in the running: GT86).

Question: Is it wrong to buy WITHOUT the cup pack and recaro seats? I suspect the standard car will be enough for my planned everyday usage (I have a go fast car for weekends already). Are these standard care unsellable?

If you're looking at new then I think factory orders are no longer available or about to be over but there must be UK central or dealer stock.

The non-Cup cars are easily sold at the right price but that price might crystallise a higher £ depreciation than a Cup-S car that, while lower spec, is cheaper despite the Cup pack. I reckon the Recaros alone might keep 75% of their value after 3 years.
