I don't have "robust" enough views on immigration to drive it....

You could buy this, then stuff two Jaguar straight 6's inline. Like this bloke:

I love it, and would for a week or two...

I know that Mr Fry also has/had an Aston Martin, not sure if he still has his taxi.

Tough car's... you could do a lot worse.

You can always drop a V8 into it when you get bored smile

This might be ideal for a London drug dealer to use on his rounds but I cant see anyone actually wanting to drive one of these horrible things (London Taxi's are great but not if you have to drive them).

Hmm, I like it as a novelty and the description of the Wildebeest engine sound is genius but as actual transport, bear in mind we mostly travel in these for short distances (as short as possible due to cost and well, being unpleasant), a lot of the time, when drunk, so actually spending any time in one, sod that ?

Do you think London Cabbies start out full of hate ? no, they get told to spend 3 years in the rain, on a moped trawling round London so they can have the dubious honour of driving one of these ancient relics, it is enough to turn anyone into a seething tube of ire.

Drive an Addison Lee Ford Galaxy, then this, people look down on the Galaxy but they are great to drive and these just arent, we had one at the garage I worked at, cant remember why, came in and got sold, we took great pleasure in slowing down for "passengers" and then driving off again, I only drove it briefly and it was a novelty but pretty grim, it made a VW Beetle (original) feel pleasant in comparison.

As for modding it, stick a 300 bhp V8 in it as a sleeper, they weigh two tonnes, will need more than that to make it properly quick.

Doesn't Michael O'Leary have a registered London taxi so that he doesn't have to repeatedly pay the congestion charge and he can use the bus lanes?

Just turn the yellow light off so you don't have to pick up fares and it could be a worthy commuter vehicle.

What is this about it being a "Fake Taxi", looks like a real one but isn't registered as such, it is just a private car in effect ?

If I didn't do so many motorway trips, I'd love this. Perfect city runabout. I bet you'd end up with all sorts of people jumping in the back when you stop at the lights though tongue out
