I agree that this has got off to a slow start. Wouldn't write its obituary just yet though: it's got a lot of money behind it and most of the criticism on here is coming from grumpy middle-aged men. Fabulous as we are, we aren't entirely representative...
The content articles are pretty good. Better than most PH front page articles...What I see as the homepage Drivetribes...

here do you click to find these decent articles? I joined about 3 weeks ago and chose some "Tribes" to join, classic cars, Astons etc. but so far to me all it seems to be is a place where people post a pic of their car. There's no chat or banter like on here. And... I can't see any decent articles either? What am I doing wrong?
Search for 'Tribe Nation', that seems to be the place all the good articles are linked from/reposted to. They seem to be allowing people to look at content now without a login as I looked at the tribe nation section ok, I had been just following links to videos.
At the moment it seems written articles on cars are quite short from the professionals and then some short video's too. If I compared it to a newspaper it would be Eddie Shah's today newspaper rather than The Times. That's maybe where it is all going though.
It maybe that I am not that good at using it but I don't think I can be bothered picking out the good stuff, so to me currently it is a bit like a kipper which is full of bones.. I haven't joined though and bent it to my wants, so might be harsh.

That's how I feel and I've been on and chosen my "tribes" - still can't be bothered to spend hours looking for the gems amongst the numerous postings of pictures and other chaff. RichB said:

I had a brief look. There's enough platforms for narcissists already in my view. If you've got enough time to write crap for free, then I'd argue you should have a word with yourself. I've simply liked the Facebook page so just see the odd video every now and then.
What would you suggest these people say to themselves out of interest? I don't disagree that there's plenty of platforms already out there for people to share content, but if someone spends their free time writing about cars and their experiences, what's wrong with that?leglessAlex said:

Now, there's a cynical world view. I suppose anyone who writes about football, trainspotting, films, stamp collections and Star Trek episodes are also narcissists? Or does that label just extent to those who choose cars as a hobby?
