It's not relevant at all, bear in mind it's the Express, which is s**te. Adds a bit of 'danger' to it maybe?

Doesn't that go for all non M3-3 series drivers? That's the impression I get anyway. Particularly 335d/i owners...
I'm six months into doing my best to quash that impression!

I'm just wondering when stereotypes will eventually stop...

  • Awaits someone saying "When Audi drivers stop driving like knobs"*
Could easily have the argument with myself but i think i'll pass for now.

All 3 cars involved in that crash were white.

Maybe we're on to something?

Good fking riddance. One less moron on the roads.

Why is the proximity of the school relevant? At 3.15 AM
I came here to post the exact same thing...

The headline implies schoolchildren diving for their lives whereas in reality it could have been outside someone's house, a car dealership or a kitten sanctuary and it wouldn't have made any difference...

But I suppose the headline "Two die in RTC" doesn't sell papers...

"with Audi drivers highlighted as the worst by brand"

I have a friend with an Audi and he parks it with utter contempt for other parked cars and with scant reference to the marked bays.

I do wonder about those that take the time to publish dashcam footage. They can't have much going on. Can we move on to bashing BMW's again, I'm feeling a bit left out. Or bikers, better yet cyclists. It must have been at least a few days since a standard PH thread on cyclists?

This looks quite the opposite of selfish parking, much more efficient than side-by-side

Yes, I saw that, not helpful is it, however, perhaps the question should be asked, even if it is a little indelicate, why are so many young Asian men, in urban areas having high speed, sometimes fatal crashes in high performance cars ?

Every time race is mentioned people get shouted down as racist so potential problems get brushed under the carpet, a young man has died, and I know it has long been the preserve of young men to have spectacular accidents and injure or kill themselves or others, but there does seem to be a growing trend, its not Black, White, Chinese or Polish men, it is Asian guys and given the relative percentages, it seems an unusually high incidence.

I remember trying to get back from Manchester after a concert, trying to cross Bury New Road and there was a Gallardo racing with a Bentley Continental at ridiculous speeds despite lots of (mainly drunk) people milling about, they were followed by three or four other nice cars, all driven by young Asian guys, they went past a few times. Go to Deansgate in Manchester on any given evening and you see similar.

Trouble is, people throw in racial slurs, jealousy and racism, any point is lost, but there does seem to be a bit of an issue, I dont hate anyone, just dont like seeing death and injury, it is a waste, that is someone's son, brother, mate, uncle etc, thankfully he dint take anyone else out and perhaps with a bit of education it could be avoided.

I suppose the young white lads tend to be drinking in a pub or club and waste all their money on beer (generalisation) which isnt an issue if you are forbidden from drinking.

Sorry if that is all a bit uncomfortable but I hope my point comes across how I intend it to.

Seat belt usage is another issue with some communities. I'd be willing to bet these lads weren't wearing them.

It is a perfect storm.

1) Audis have huge understeer, woolly controls and lots of electronic aids. They require minimum driving skills, so that is what they get.

2) People, deludedly, think that a leased silver Audi diesel is going to impress the neighbours who they hate. These really are the cars of the jumped up nouveau riche.

3) VAG have put huge resources (and cheating) into getting low official CO2 figures. So Audis have good BIK figures compared with similar cars, such as Mondeos.

4) VAG have put together amazing lease deals. Companies and individuals only look at the monthly payments. So many people who could never, in the real world, afford a brand new Audi A6 are driving round in one. This could end very badly as all the leases finish and the cars have far lower residual value than predicted (likely).

Of course educated, informed people can see straight through all this. Hence the derision afforded to
