Lowest depreciating big soft roader?

Why not buy a £35k Cayenne or RRS instead of a £40k? That's £5k of depreciation banked at the outset.
Not sure the maths will work like that! Both would be old model and more or less out of manufacturers warranty. Can't stand the old RRS tank. Might work with an X5 though.

Buy the very best Range Rover Classic you can find. Keep it for a few years and sell it for more than you paid for it. Forget depreciation on these things - values are soaring...
How old would this be? Any other buying tips?FWIW said:

Ive heard the new Porsche Macan has pretty awesome residuals. Also a nice size for school run & not obnoxiously big.
Humm...that's why they're so expensive used! Good shout Only the 4cyl petrol and the diesel versions have a sub 12 month waiting time, hence the residuals being so strong for the V6 petrol's as a lot of people won't wait 12+ months for a car.

Newest cars would be on an M plate (1995). PM me if you wish and I will be happy to point you in the right direction
Thanks, appreciate that. While I can see the attraction (and would have one in my fictional 10 car garage), I don't want something so old...the MILFs would sneer at me on the school run FWIW said:

Assume you pushed the budget by £20k to get into the GTS. I'm in a similar position and been looking at SUVs for 45-50k.
The macan GTS seems to be around £60k though, I found the turbo version more readily available and cheaper by circa £10k.
Yes! we paid less than £60. It was only 3 months old with 1500 miles so would have been rude not to. The macan GTS seems to be around £60k though, I found the turbo version more readily available and cheaper by circa £10k.
