It also has super strut suspension which again sets it apart.
Oh, well. There we go... It must be god's gift to motoring history, then.

Whatever the fk "super strut suspension" means.
Do you always have to be so abrasive?

OP asked for some unusual/rare car suggestions. The Levin BZR is unusual, and rare in the UK as it was never sold here officially. As well as the aformentioned super strut suspension, it also has a 6 speed box, LSD, and better brakes - it's a very fun car to drive, similar to a DC2 Type R in many ways.

I'm not sure there are any questions answered by the FTO that aren't better answered by the Integra Type-R or (if you want something newer) the RX-8
Being a fraction of the price of an ITR would be one answer I suppose!

I feel I need to sum up what I'm looking for again: Rare, good looking (to me), practical for a single 21 year old man, priced no higher than 5k, good to drive depending what the car is (a good GT, sports car, Coupé etc), not going to empty my bank account instantly (hence I turned down the SC430) and won't break after 3 miles. Older/cheaper cars on the list would be upgraded to make more modern and bring the condition back up to increase value.

The Murano is the only SUV on my list because I do like them, and I need to have that option open for family reasons. But if we MUST narrow it down then coupes/GTs and sports cars within 20 years old. Does this help everyone now?

Love the 20v 4AGE engine, the did a supercharged Levin 1.6 that pushed 160-170 and a 1.6 20V (as mentioned about) pushing out about 160-170 again, great engine.

Whilst we're on about the 4AGE what about the classic MK1 MR2 (the lego one)

I made up my mind, and to the disappointment of the masses I broke down and bought the doggy-dookie back end coupe that so few people love.... the Chrysler Crossfire

3.2 V6 auto.... yes I wanted a black or red coupe with a manual but those aren't common so I just went for the best one I could find. It's fast, reliable, good looking (yes I know... don't say it), practical and does everything I need it to do.

I'm ready for your insults and "why didn't you buy this" and questions with unusual eager as I really think this car deserves more love and attention.

If that's the best you can do in 5 months of looking.
Different - Yes
Good - You tell us?

At least you were true to your word and didn't end up with a silver hatchback......

I needed something more suddenly than I expected so this was the best option available and so far I really like it. It's no Ford Focus which is exactly what I hoped for

Fair play for following through with it and buying the car that you want.

It's not what I would have bought, but it's not me or any of the other people from the internet who have to get into your car and drive it. The main thing is whether it makes you happy, and if it does then nothing else is important.

Out of interest, what made up your mind for you? I'm curious about what attracted you to something a lot of people dislike. If it made you put your hand in your pocket to pay for it, there must be something...?

Surprised no one mentioned the alfa 159 ti, have only seen 1 ti on the road and a handful of base spec 159's.
Want.

Hope you're happy with your choice of car, not something i'd choose personally, interior is a bit.. American. Surprise surprise. wink

Well I did say I wanted something rare and unusual, this is both of those as well as something not many people wanted to buy so it starts conversations. Even if they do almost always include people saying "why didn't you buy a 350z/RX8" and "dog doing a poo"

I guess I just like underdogs and being different. I'd probably want to jump off a cliff if I drove a dull hatch daily

It's actually more like Tiff Nidel describes than Clarkson. It rides well, it's quicker than you'd expect, the engine is very smooth, the auto box is not bad at all, the grip is huge, running costs aren't bad and it has aged very well in terms of styling.

Only downsides I've found which I can't deny, the interior feels like it's made from melted Buxton bottles, it drinks fuel, it's hard to reverse and the steering lacks feel.

Lets all not forget that despite Clarkson hating the coupe, he did like the convertible most of all out of the three (TT, 350z, Crossfire). So even he ended up liking it eventually

I can relate to that. I drove a Cadillac BLS for about 18 months. Strangely, it was a head-over-heart purchase (Cadillac UK had a lot of 3 year old ones piled up and needed to sell them very cheap indeed). I nearly didn't buy it "because of what other people might think". I don't regret doing my own thing- it wasn't perfect but it was a bloody bargain (at the time, not now), no one knew what it was and everyone who clocked the Cadillac keyring asked me if it was pink... Inside and out, it was a slightly tarted up Saab 9-3 with sifter springs, which was no bad thing while I was doing 800 miles on some days while I owned it. (Thankfully, I drive a lot less distance for work now.) The only reason I sold it was that after 2 years, Saab dealers were refusing to supply parts for it after the GM divorce. A dealer in the Midlands was breaking down their own cars to provide customers with spares to keep them on the road. That was a strange time... makes me feel a bit more relaxed now if a part takes 2 days longer to be supplied than I planned, I've faced worse! smile

These days? An Octavia vRS estate bought last week. In the same way I liked the notoriety of the Cadillac, I enjoy the anonymity of the Skoda.

It's almost the same with the Crossfire, it's actually rather discrete in its over the top styling. It looks like a classy GT like a Mercedes SLR or Aston DB9

Now you're pushing the boundaries of reality a little! wink

Seriously, enjoy the car, and well done for getting the car you want and not what others expect of you. smile

You only live once so just buy the car you want to buy rather than the ones that get good reviews. Some of the best cars everblooming made have low rating reviews
