Greatest GT car

Seems to me there's not a lot of people understand what a GT car is. I'm not sure I get the range requirement in the OP as 300 miles plus is surely enough. Does anybody ever drive much further in one go without getting out for a stretch/pee?
Autobahn mile muncher and GT are not the same thing

He is now 7 and a pain in the arse in the car.
We used to take our daughter all the time, she was fine, no matter what age. He was OK, but now gets bored so quickly.
Ah. Our two seem happy if we stick a talking book on for them to listen to. No squabbling, no complaining. We took them to Spa then the Nurburgring earlier this year. I'm going to IOM TT in June. The trip crosses over into half term. My little girl asked her mum if they could go back to the Nurburgring whilst I'm away That was the decider to extending the road trip into something more epic on our way to the track week in August! We used to take our daughter all the time, she was fine, no matter what age. The other problem is, if I am honest, cost. We used to go down to Grimaud, St. Tropez, Frejus etc. etc. all the time, but the prices are just getting silly.
The villa we stayed in 4 years ago was £2k for the 2 weeks, he is now asking €3600 a week and many seem the same.
Then when factor in fuel, peage, channel tunnel etc. it just doesn't make sense.
We have been renting a stunning villa in Javea, Spain, which is costing less for 2 weeks including flights and car hire than a week in France before you even consider getting down to the coast.
And, I genuinely think certain pockets of Spain are much nicer than the French riviera now, which has changed so much over the last 25 years, it isn't what it used to be at all.

Any details on the villa in Spain? We are looking for somewhere to spend some time this summer. We used to go down to Grimaud, St. Tropez, Frejus etc. etc. all the time, but the prices are just getting silly.

GT cars are my favourite type.
For me:
It needs to be as quiet at the ton and vocal when pushed.
For an ICE, Eight cylinder minimum and petrol.
Electric/Hybrid is also a viable option.
90-120mph without fuss
Two armchairs, leather
Long wheelbase.
Being a traditionalist with the type, I would choose:
Aston Martin DBS
Ferrari 612 Scagletti
Mercedes CL600
Leftfield, but completely viable:
Tesla P90D+
To answer the OP's question, the greatest ever is:
It's got everything for me.

Most relaxing drive would have to be the Tesla with auto pilot and the high end stereo, loads of room for luggage as well, it'd be my choice if I was merely driving a long distance rather than looking to enjoy the driving. Can't say it is the best looking, most fun to drive or the nicest cabin out of the GT options.

Gave me one of the most memorable drives ever, Mc shift box banging in the gears at the redline on full chat, window down with an exhaust note that made my spine tingle banging off the coastal walls for mile after mile. Then picked the family up and loaded a weeks worth of stuff in and cruised back in silence only being disturbed by the attention of people gesturing for me to blip the throttle while we waited traffic lights.
Not a perfect car but a perfect GT,
Lots of wonderful GT cars here. The Gran Tourismo is fantastic but my cousin gets 14mpg from his so you would need a 30 gallon tank to make the range. Was very impressed with the Jag XJ-R that Harry Metcalfe has just done a review on over at Harry's Garage. Getting near 35mpg on a long run from a supercharged 550hp monster is remarkable. Great interior, lovely chassis, superlative body control and fantastic engine. Add a year or two's initial depreciation and you have a continent munching drivers car for posh A6 diesel money.

When you consider most are only getting 38/39 on a run from the diesel it does make you wonder why we are so obsessed with diesel. Wasn't his long term average in it showing as 29mpg as well, which is also stunning.
