I found myself watching how they're made in YouTube a week or so back and had a look in the classifieds then. Thoughts;

- Jesus Christ those interiors

It's a shame Wiesmann went bust. Certainly their engineering and factory in particular was way ahead of probably all small British competitors:
Ive spotted a subtle mismatch in car volume to factory size.
laugh and it doesn't look much different to the old TVR factory processes except it looks shiny and clean.

I think market reality comes back to the fact you can buy,
  • a properly built Mazda for £20k
  • a properly built Porsche for £50k
  • a properly built McLaren for £125k
  • a properly built Ferrari for £180k
A Ferrari California would be where my money would go
Aston V12 Vantage Roadster is where mine would go, but then I am biased...
Any of the above, as has been said, £200k is madness.

I love this, but I prefer the hard-top GT. That's a thing of beauty.

"Beyond the MX-5, what else can you get without a roof and without a turbo? The R8 and Huracan Spyders stand out, and technically the Mustang V8 counts too, but it's fairly slim pickings."

I'd have thought Chevrolet might have something to say about that, for a fraction of the price.
Yes, and no worries about it eating its crankshaft bearings.
Indeed.

But for half the money of that hideous Wiesmann, I'd rather have a Shelby factory built 'continuation' Cobra..... proper mans car with a proper engine wink

The Germans really struggle with any interior design which is not coal bunker black, don't they?

Mind you, when at a suited and booted meeting that has a 'dress down casual' evening event, the German male dress sense... Well, all I'm saying is this interior sort of makes sense smile

Eta, no offence German dudes!

I'd rather have a TVR for a 10th of the price ...!

I've always loved Wiesmanns and lookde up a MF4 last year, but then was reminded about the price. If cost was no option (i.e. I was seriosuly loaded) then I would, but not this one. Don't think anyone has been complimentry about this colour combination regardless of their views Wiesmann cars as a whole.

Not for me at 193k thanks, I never really fell in love with the looks of the Weismann to me they are just ok and this particular one looks like it was specced by Kanye West or someone with equally good 'taste'.

I'd imagine its bloody quick though.

Realise this an old thread but of interest to me as my dad has just bought this car. Been a bit of a mission to register in the UK (was originally shipped/taxed in Thailand) but he should hopefully be taking delivery next week. Road trip planned over Easter - assuming it doesn’t snow too much! Happy to report back on the car if anyone’s interested.

I googled Weismann thinking that their obscurity and insolvency would mean a relative bargain might be had, how wrong was I.

They also missed a trick not converting it to manual.

Didn't BMW release an E60 M5 manual in the states?

Which, oddly, was not well received where I've read about it. Slow, clunky, obstructive, married to an engine which needs quick precise shifts.
