Dear God that thing cannot be a production model can it (and I say that as a Toyota fan (historic more than modern) and owner)

For a car which will hopefully be as common as the old 156, the Giulia is pretty good-looking in a world of 'swoopy' designs -

If any Mercedes should have appeared in the first few posts it should have been this one -

And will this ever see production?

That angle is stunning. But the front is from another car, like an angry corporate face has been slapped on. It doesn't really suit the rear at all. Still, I wouldn't kick it out of bed if you fancy buying me one biggrin

AMG GT S. Love.
Very cool! Aggressive and masculine (from the front anyway). But beautiful? I really struggle to see that.
Eye of the beholder I suppose. The shape from every angle is gorgeous for me. Super sleek.
It's a handsome car but beautiful? I'm not feeling it either.

In fact I'm struggling to think of any German car that could truly be called beautiful but maybe that should be a thread on its own.
Fair enough. A friend of mine has one and in the flesh it's jaw dropping in my opinion. Particularly on the road - photos don't do it justice.

Maybe I should've posted this picture instead smile From this angle, I'd say it's beautiful.

Re: Predator

The modern Lexus suit that image well. They went from bland to ugliest cars ever.

Can any car with a bolt on spoiler be considered beautiful? No - so these should be excluded here, however much we may fancy her and go weak at the knees! Phwoaaar hot is not necessarily beauty! wink

I bought the original CLS as that was an interesting shape from the rear 3/4. Not beautiful, but quite flowing and individual for a large car at the time. The front wasn't so nice. Then the mk2 CLS really got beaten with an ugly corporate stick, which seems all the rage now.

Don't know if you've ever seen The Office (US) but that comment reminded me of this:

there ya go. Un-adorned, curvaceous, purposeful, lovely details and proportion, not colour wheel sensitive.

I think the aero requirement for a deep chin at the front makes it hard for any modern car to look pretty, let alone 'beautiful'.

Add the trend for making cars look solid instead of lithe, and the best you can hope for is 'handsome'.

Not quite sure where the comparisons have suddenly come from. The 1970's perhaps.
