Well I bought the S80 D5 last night. Nice old bus. Not sure what fuel it runs on tbh as it did 120 miles on a pretty much empty tank. Filled it up with something called diesel when I got home, I think it had half a litre left as it let me put over 70 in lol.

Everything works except the drivers door mirror doesn't adjust properly, it moves up and down but the side to side movement gets so far and clicks back to where it was.

It also doesn't pick up medium wave radio very well.

Other than that, cannot fault it.

Good effort to get over 70 litres in - best I've ever got is 69 and a bit.

They're alright, aren't they smile

It must have been on its bell tbh lol.

Yeah I am quite liking it. Driving it doesn't make you want to go fast either.

Very much this, which is a good thing.

It's relaxed and quiet. It had a whistle on the drivers side mirror which I think I might be able to sort, does it at around 60Mph and is still there at 70Mph.

What goes in the cubby hole to the left of the stereo? I was going to put coins in there buy I cannot reach the back of it so that would be pointless lol.

I am glad I went for a newer car, it looks nicer than the pre 2005 imo.

The space to the left of the stereo should be either a pop-out cupholder or the keypad for the integrated phone if fitted. Sounds like the cupholder's gone missing in yours.

I once managed to get 73 litres in the tank of mine, after I'd driven it a very nervous 15 miles with the OBC reading '-- miles remaining'.

Ah could be that then. It doesn't have integrated phone. It has two cup holders in the centre console as well

At the risk of sounding very beardy the S80 never had a cupholder there. It is an odd cubby hole with a little roller blind cover - never really worked out what you could put in one.

Ahh my mistake - I scan-read the thread and assumed that we were still talking about the S60...

Ah well, it'll do ok for my work phone when connected to the Parrot blue tooth kit.
