Our man is driving it tomorrow/Thursday - full review and geekery to follow. If anyone's got any questions off the back of the reviews they've already read by all means let me know and we'll put them to the engineers/brand folk we meet on the event.
Cheers!
Dan
I would just try to get the real reason why we are not getting the manual on the QV, just down to production costs? something in the wrong place on the RHD one? Cheers!

In the original QV launch slides, there was mention of 3 gearboxes. A dual clutch, a manual and the ZF auto.
There's also a rumoured 330bhp+ 2.0 in the pipeline. Any info on that and the 280bhp would be appreciated, and whether we'll get Q4 as well. I really want a 330bhp Q4 unless their pricing of the QV is amazingly competitive!

Yep, Evo and TG also have a review up, both pretty glowing. Did PH not get an invitation?
What Car and Autocar praise the dynamics and then criticise the interior quality and gadgetry compared to Audi. What Car even had the brazen cheek to put their A4 review in the middle of the tex before bucking the trend and giving it only 3 stars. Talk about bias, given they're both owned by Haymarket who have very close ties with VAG group now and provide dealer network solutions and editorial content for them. I sincerely hope Pistonheads rise above that, though the constant stream of VAG product placement a few months ago on Facebook really dented my trust. Edited by Ali_T on Tuesday 10th May 13:03
This thread seems to have gone off topic.
Anyhow, back to the Alfa. Having just switched from a long held 166 to a Cayenne Turbo S, I'm looking forwards to the Stelvio. I hope they give it a decent petrol engine and I hope the name is indicative of dynamics that approach the Cayenne's prowess in this area (which is nothing short of spectacular).
As for looks, it seems like it's got acres of boot space & repairing scuffs is going to be a cinch

FFS at this rate in 10 years time all we will have to choose from will be electric SUVs!!
It does feel like a dilution of the brand doesnt it? I mean it has to be easier to list the brands that don't have an SUV now...
only Ferrari, Aston and Lambo to go, and Aston/Lambo have it on their radar...
All brands are now diluted.
Please tell me no-one would want a Rolls SUV?
Please.

That's the best camouflage I've ever seen, I hope. I gave it a ten for the disguise.
Good luck to Alfa, even though that type of vehicle doesn't interest me, unless it's really capable off-road, which it probably won't be.
Isn't there another name for that type of car? I thought SUVs are supposed to be good off-road. Any suggestions?
What about MUV (mum's utility vehicle)?

1. Which countries will be the greatest priority for the initial (first wave) launch of this vehicle?2. If I am a conquest buyer of this car, what other brand(s) will I be coming from?
