The situation is daft to say the least. The correction will hopefully burn enough people to keep them away from flipping cars for a while.
You sound like the guy that missed out on only the village virgin and then married the village bike.. laugh

I put my money into moving, paying off my house and doing it up. But now that the funds are starting to come together again the market has turned mental. I wont be entering now! So I am happy to wait for a price crash, or simply buy something newer and completely different. I am not that blinded by nostalgia to get swept up into the madness. Some old cars are cool and interesting. But there are lots of newer metal which is VERY appealing too. So I will maintain a sense of perspective and sanity. I also like a bargain, rather than being raped smile

^^ Sound thinking IMO. Let the lemmings all chase the same stuff. There's plenty of other cars out there.

Your analogy seems rather confused. A new car would seem more like a "virgin", while an old car with 20 previous owners would be the "village bike".

Yup. And just like a 20 owner classic car a bucket of biological disinfectant and a strong course of anti biopics and you've got yourself something that knows how to drive and is fund to drive and all those guys with the same and boring but mint condition Mondeo will be looking at your classic and trying to remember the last time they had any fun biggrin

"Old bikes" with some experience under their belts (or knickers) certainly have a place. But I'd expect a hefty discount for one of those, not a premium. But enjoy your sloppy 22nds biggrin

The secret of success is compromise. wink

I'd rather be out with my warm blooded girlfriend than staring at a poster of Natalie Portman.

And as regards the older models I'm not convinced by, "Well, she was pretty 25 years ago"!!

Well yes, compromise is fine. Old enough to have the experience, but with few enough owners who actually took care of them, would be ideal.

Are we even talking about cars anymore? hehe
