The promise of even more torque, and fuel saving for the 140i seem like a great everyday proposition.

For those saying it's too much - what a load of bks!

Lets hope it is a soulful engine - I love the drive train on my car, the N55 with ZF8 is just peachy.

This takes my fantasy next car shopping list to M140i X-Drive vs Focus RS.

Both AWD and both similar-ish amounts of power, but quite a different image.

A lot of the negative comments (filtering the usual crap) are aboput the traction. Surely X-Drive would address this?
There is no issue with the traction on the Michelin Pilot Super Sports mine came fitted with.
I'm on my 3rd set and they are fantastic tyres.

It would, but apparently isn't an option being offered to the *UK market... which seems ridiculous given the competition it faces from the RS/S/R/AMG competition, which all run AWD.

...* ignore this reply if you aren't in the UK. laugh

Are they offering similar discounts to the M135i? I quite fancy one for the wife as her next car.

I have a 320D with X-drive which in my opinion ruins the cars dynamics somewhat, doesn't matter how hard you drive it the wheels won't break traction. I'm sure it might be different on a >300 bhp motor, but I miss the break in traction when you want to have a bit of fun.

Look, there is not a real problem with the traction. If you value RWD and half decent dynamics you wouldn't be looking at 4WD anyway IMO. Which is probably why the X-Drive in places like North America in the middle of winter would be relevant, less so over here?

I can now see the source of your bitterness and trolling, having bought the wrong car for your needs and clearly at the wrong price. Sorry to hear about your heavy financial loss although it's self-inflicted.

"Hypocrisy much our merde filled frogue?" : no idea what that means but English being my third language, I am sure I can be forgiven.
I need to correct you here - I didn't buy the wrong car for the needs. I bought a st car. Again quick google search or even looking through this thread reveals that I'm not alone. And it's also funny how those who defend this piece of st vehicle can't or don't want to accept that they might be wrong or perhaps don't know any better. Some are so desperate at their efforts that they'll clutch at any straw they can find to belittle the naysayers. Like in this instance you're referring to me inquiring about an American vehicle - Dodge Charger SRT8 - saying that I don't know st just because of this small irrelevant fact. Tell you what let's assume that I'd never had a decent car before the M135st (like most of its fan base), don't you think that I would be singing praises and telling everyone how great it is (like most pf its fan base)? The only good thing about M135i I can come up with is that there are two of them in my area one own by a superhot Asian lady the other by a easy looking blond slapper. Both of them are bangtidy. The girls not the cars, obviously.

Newsflash. This is the internet, it's like the library you go to but much, much bigger.

To post so much negativity about one particular car means one of two things;

1. It is a load of BS
2. You bought a car which you didn't test drive or think about properly

I'm betting on the first option myself.

You don't think I could just use any random picture off the fking internet do you? The only way for me to prove anything is for me to post the purchase invoice with my address and you to come and cross check it. And why would I want to prove anything to nobody? In fact me discussing it with you is an insult to my parents.
