Any one drive one back to back against an M135i?
The stats don't really show much difference.
15 Bhp more but 7% more efficient too near on 37mpg combined..... Amazing considering it would destroy a C5 RS6 nearly 1 second quicker to 100mphThe stats don't really show much difference.

Unless of course it was raining and since when did less than a second become "destroying" something Evolved said:

Also those alloy wheels are just horrid. Can't believe in 2 face lifts they have not changed them. Every single M135i owner I know hates them.

I've gone from a manual M135 to an auto M140 and the change in hp only tell half the story. I'm still running in so keeping under 4500rpm and the increase in midrange oomph is VERY noticeable (50nm more torque). The stats don't really show much difference.
It'll be interesting to see how the engine feels at higher rpms as the peak power on the 135 was just under 6k but I won't be past the recommended running in mileage for a couple more weeks yet so will have to wait and see. Early signs are great though with improved economy (seen 45mpg on a 70 mile motorway run over the pennines) and revised chassis feeling less floaty at higher speed and less fidgety at low speed.

Jesus that's rapid. I'm guessing the auto 8 speed will be even quicker

I came up against an M240 in my remapped Golf R the other day, lets just say I'm glad it was remapped or it would have been properly humbled. All up that's near on C63 AMG pace
It made me sad that I cancelled my M2 for a Focus RS, especially when I got home and researched the stats

Very interesting!
I'm at 63k miles in my manual M135i and contemplating a jump to an auto M140i
The economy and fidgety B road ride are both areas I wnat to improve on when I swap
