Modern Mercedes are the ones, with design trills squeezed onto every available square inch of the car and all fighting with each other for visual dominance.
Yep, they're a shambles aren't they? From a design aesthetics point of view Mercedes lost the plot a good while ago!

Re the new Civic Type R. You think that's ugly, wait until the replacement is on public view. People will be saying how much they prefer the current one.

Irritating details on modern cars, apart from AMG S line M Sport badges, Germans with Union Jack details on their Minis. Just stop it. And the thing with the Union Jack handbags.

Badge/plate/everything spacing. Not very bloody Teutonic confused

New Civic Type R looks like something a Transformer would buy the wife from Ann Summers eek

The XDrive badge on the back of BMWs, looks like it came out the bargain bin at Halfords.

The whole rear end of the new Prius and the massive vertical light strip

Saw one drive past and instantly had to look away

O dear god! I think you've trumped my suggestion. Bravo.

Sorry, but if it's good enough for Walter White it has to be cool!

Are they in the original place though? Whoever slapped all that filler in that back end probably lobbed the badges on in the dark too....

The lopsided Mini Clubman, if you're going to put rear doors in at least put them in both sides! Same with the Hyundai Veloster.
Another with the Clubman.

Having a 7 letter name badged across the back of a car with vertically split rear doors. smash

Maybe they looked alright with home market number plates fitted?

Looks like when you write on a blackboard and realise you're running out of space so start curving your script downward!

The awkward cramming in of the leaping cat and 'Jaguar' badges on the XF bootlid.

I get eye twitches every time I'm behind one in traffic.

Similarly to the Peugeot in the OP, the badge location on the rear of the Juke sets my teeth on edge too.

It's like when the design was finished and the 'badge' guy came along, he kind of floated it around various point on the car trying to figure out where to stick it, then got annoyed and just slapped it on the corner of the bumper.

No. The later models with the oblong (ish) rear lights were better. Only the roundel next to the plate. Rest on the bootlid

I'm glad it's not just me that objects to the leaping cat on the back of current Jags too.

Speaking of which, the XE'S rear quarter window. The bit with the C pillar behind it so it is tinted. Nasty.

Fixed it for you too... hehe

However, for the purposed of the OP, specifically those weird stuck on plastic strips under the rear light/indicator...apologies, not the best close-up picture. Actually, apologies for posting the whole of the rear.

I quite like it from that angle. Looks like the wheels fit a bit better for once.

The shut-line above the bonnet badge on the current 3-series (and many other modern cars) is awful:

Never noticed that lettering, but now I can't stop looking. It's grating on me way too much.
