Try looking at the lettering on a Land Rover Discovery and not reading it as "Disco very"

According to this article http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/official-new-car-rev... on the Fiesta with a similar tab on the arch (but a separate black plastic part) they are for tyre coverage, not aero.
That's such a good review. It covers how easy the horn is to press, because it's for the Indian market. I guess if it's something you use a lot it's important to know that stuff!
Still more informative than Top Gear hehe

Another from me:

You don't see many Citroen C6s on the road, and I quite like them from what I have seen. However the other day, I was behind one and the view from the back is just odd, particularly the way the bootlid/tailgate is so awkwardly recessed and lower than the side flanks:

I'd say the whole of the Citroen C6 is an awkward design!

I'd agree with this, but IMO its not a bad thing at all. Sometimes an unconventional design can be a positive; I'm glad Citroen had the balls to produce a car which could have easily just been a mid-size German Saloon clone. They've managed to achieve some sort of elegance, which I think could have easily become very cumbersome and frankly ugly.

I love the difference these two small alterarions make. The second picture looks so much better IMO.

In fact, now that I've seen how much better it could look. I doubt I would be able to buy and live with an XE without doing both of these changes, especially the exhaust.
I'm glad it's not just me!
Agree re the overbadging, but the lower bumper is one piece - the gloss black is just reflecting the space between the tiles under the car and making it look split.

The lettering came in for the 2015MY on the XF. I know that because I placed my deposit in March 2014 and in May I was sent the 2015MY changes which included adding gear change nag lights to the dashboard, adding the JAGUAR lettering and deleting the colour I wanted.

The dealership told me that the line they were given was that the Asian markets literally needed it spelled out for them, since so many didn't actually know what the leaping cat was supposed to represent. It seems to me like that would be an ideal no-cost-option to delete from UK markets - and had I gone through with it I'd have removed them because I don't like the lettering there either.

As it turned out, I didn't really want Ultrablue, the replacement colour for French Racing Blue but pearlescent and without much character, so I discussed with the dealership and got their French Racing Blue demonstrator for a healthy discount, a proper colour, no nag lights and no lettering.

Bear with me on this, but the spoiler on the Audi A7 looks a bit awkward. Too much function over form when the rest of the car has been designed with ergonomics in mind.

Just looks like you've left your boot open. Audi would have done well to add some pivots to the motor such that the spoiler was raised up and rearwards slightly, rather than looking like an ill-fitting piece of trim. I would imagine several folks have seen an A7 drive past on the motorway and thought "that's an awful modification to the car".

They know that many audi drivers love the show off pop up spoiler despite it being the hallmark of a bellend

The rear bodywork of the Renault Kadjar looks like it's giving birth to the bumper trim.

The tailgate hinges on the MINI convertible. They look so cheap, poorly integrated and ugly as sin. Glad they've been deleted from the later MINI convertibles.

I presume that's a nod to the exposed hinges on the original mini?

You're right though, they do look a bit awkward.

Vauxhall Ampera with those black bits under the windows to make the glass area look bigger. Well you don't fool me, they look ste. Why not just make the windows bigger?

Side impact protection.

I wondered if it might be something to do with efficiency too. More glazed area means more heat in the cabin means more AC effort means more energy consumed to keep the cabin temp down (perhaps not so much in Britain of course hehe )

The tiny rear quarterlight on the Mercedes E class coupe. It just looks strange. The rear side window would look better as a one piece.

I can't unsee that now. Hideous.

I also really dislike the rear 3/4 panel and the way there is an awkward bulge on the rear arches going over the wheel. It could have looked so much better smoothed into the bodywork without having that crease. Puts me off an otherwise nice design.

The A7 is one of the worst proportioned cars in recent times, it looks like it's melting aft of the C Pillar.

Freelander fake exhaust.

Looks like it goes out, but goes down. The tube is inside the tip so looks stupid.

I spotted one of these the other day and chuckled at how st it looked - I thought it was some sort of tacky add-on from Halfords, I can't believe it comes from the factory like that!
