Buying this costs about as much as a pre-season service on the Cayman.
But I just can't imagine how I'd explain the "financial logic" to Mrs NNH!

Might drive great but I've never understood the love for these, they just look wrong, Ka like. Were they based on a Ka or fiesta platform?

Nice base car for someone to improve . Airbag light is an easy 10 min fix with some black tape ! Get rid of the k&n and do a frp mod on the airbox .May be some st150 calipers as long as the shell is good it will make someone a nice car . Can't really justify 6 pumas though lol

Not really my kind of car, but I can see it is an excellent Shed of the week. I'm surprised they are as cheap as this. I can see them going up in value.

I'm not suprised it's sold. Most shed's are an interesting Friday morning read, but this one is the first that had got me counting the pennies in the motoring piggy bank.

Best shed in a while. Rust free Pumas are rare, and this one is that and more.

Much more than a shed but for shed money. Good effort.

Only 2 weeks ago I bought a silver 85k mileage Puma with a bit of a dent in the rear and no MOT for £100 on Ebay. It should MOT no problem and it is a fun little thing to drive - really willing to be driven hard. It'll be teaching me how to drive on track so I don't launch my Z4 coupe into the gravel. Will be filling the dent and respraying in the next month then upgrading the brakes, suspension and the like. Likely will leave the engine as is - there will always be faster people on track. Dent aside the rear arches were rust-free.

Only thing I had to do inside was replace the after market Sony MP3 stereo with an original silver double DIN radio cassette...ah, old school.

why do half the drivers look like their other hobby is eating all the pies?

They're older, no longer skinny teenagers. Pies, burgers, pizza, chips, beer do take toll on a waistline. wink

I've been looking at this very car for a week or so, trying to persuade a mate to go halves. I keep coming back to the same thought though:

Surely too good to be true at the price?

It does look phenomenally good value. He could've got £1500 for it quite reasonably I'd have thought

The 1.7 Puma is such an awesome wee car to rattle around country lanes in! Great handling, buzzy engine and a rifle bolt gearshift. Just such a laugh!

Regularly steal the GF's car and leave the E63 in the drive.... Yep, that's how much fun it is!
