What the fk is that? Looks like the bloke who styled the back end of the new Prius has been promoted to lead designer on this one. Awful.

Looks nothing like a 2002, but the wheels are spectacular. Those on a current M3 would be heaven lick

2 Series with a 'Bespoke' body kit springs to mind. Seems like a third party design company was given a 235i and was told to make it look like a 2002.. Honestly.. such laziness. The quad exhaust looks narsty as well, should have just had a twin pipe on one side.

In what way a 'hommage'? It looks like a fugly aftermarket body-kitted M2 with the word turbo written across the front splitter. Then again I am not that keen on the original 2002, but it was lightweight and agile rather than floor-scrapingly lowered.

I used to have a 2002tii, what strikes me is how small it looks next to the 4 series.

overall proportions are great, nice from the back.

To me the front looks like an unresolved problem where the designers ran out of ideas.

What is the hofmiester kink? I always assumed it was the straigh transitional piece between the bottom of the window and the c pillar. Since this car doesn't have that I imagine I've got it wrong. So what is it?

I like several of the design features in isolation.

But as a whole nothing sits very happily

Ok I was right. So where is it on this concept then? I can only see a radius in that corner.

No, it's still there. The only modern (non-convertible) BMW I know of that doesn't have it is the Z3 Coupe

" public thought on these Hommage concepts doesn't really matter; it won't be built, and seems unlikely to influence any future cars."

Shame, I think it looks miles better than the car on which it is based. If this were to be what an M2 looked like I'm sure the standard 2 Series range would also be vastly improved in look.

I'm sure a chase scene in James bond was filmed where the last pic is taken, was it skyfall?
Similar sort of tunnel but not the one where Quantum of Solace chase was filmed with the Aston and Alfas. That tunnel is on the east side of Lake Garda near Malcesine

Quite like that 2002 Turbo

Am I viewing different pictures to everyone? That looks nothing like a 2002...not even a little bit. Looks shart.
