RE: Ford Focus RS vs. Honda Civic Type R

I'd probably be turned off the RS in a year or so when every single car at a event is a baby blue Focus RS. They will be everywhere mark my words!
Don't talk soft, Ford will bring in 4,000 standard cars, I'd say 2-3k of them will be blue and dripped on to the market at around 1-1.5k cars per year. They will be as "common" as the Green RS' or Long Beach Blue M2's.
I think he's getting upset because some of the "opinions" are bks...
I think the Focus is insanely good value and a great car but I would never get one (well you never know actually, I might want to replace the mighty Polo in three years)
I think the car scene will always have fanboys that will buy a car purely on its badge whereas the rival car may actually be better for them!

I don't understand why you would get so annoyed by different opinions. If you're happy, that's enough...
If ALL views were positive I would usually mistrust that as there's always a bad review of something for example a film etc. People never agree. So if everyone does I would always think hmmmmmAudi Q5s are like locusts, fking things,
Haven't seen a MK3 around though, I know it's early days but there are usually a few of such a model kicking around, I'm guessing the down turn has a lot of people keeping their hands on the purse strings at the moment.
Went for a sprint in a Peugeot 208gti last night, very comfortable, impressive, really. I like it.
Have we killed the thread yet?

I'm still yet to see a MK3. See millions of ST's though.Haven't seen a MK3 around though, I know it's early days but there are usually a few of such a model kicking around, I'm guessing the down turn has a lot of people keeping their hands on the purse strings at the moment.

Thread is definitely dead.. just waiting for the 275 Cup-S vs CTR article to pop up. That's the most intriguing one!

They're only just starting deliveries and it's sold out until next Easter now. Saw my first one, in that horrible blue, last week. Made me glad I cancelled!
Could Ford win?
The last model looked like it was designed for 13 year old boys and ADHD, baseball-cap equipped pub bores. The new Civic breaks the world record for having go-faster looking bits that are just cosmetic nonsense.
Ford decide to avoid the new car looking like it was spaffed out by a pistonheader and suddenly it has 'no presence'! I guess sometimes you want to arrive at a serious venue looking like an adult and maybe Ford went for that market this time?

Can you really just 'hand' cars back?
Depends how you paid for it I guess. It might not be a painful experience with an RS as there is a captive market and prices are very firm, if you bought it for cash that is.
Then again I suppose that is selling it rather than handing it back, still, if the dealer has someone else waiting for one they might be willing to accommodate you.
Someone posted this yesterday, worth a watch. Both cars are quick and good fun to drive... its just a matter of taste!
