Drove the new focus RS a while ago, I was really excited about it but coming from a 275 Trophy it just felt dull and lifeless. OK, it gripped well, but it felt gutless and the steering was far too light and just not as direct as the Meg. You also sit on it rather than in it, and cannot adjust the seat height despite the fact the seats are the same as my MEgane? frown So, I am not surprised by the result of this test at all. I've never driven a fast ford but was massively underwhelmed by this, especially given the hype it's been receiving. And £35k too?!

Oh, I had an EP3 a few years ago and that was a fantastic car. If this new Honda is anything like that it's going to be fun smile

Had a good look around the RS recently. I like RS Fords, I've had loads in the past but I have to say compared to the MK11 it looks like a bus.

A dealer informs me the new CTR will soon be no more - The new 2017 Civic is out shortly and it is being manufactured elsewhere from the current; the CTR will cease to be for the medium future. He also showed me his dealer access portal on his computer and there are hardly any build allocations left.

I'm beginning to think the CTR might become a good financial buy if you can get a good deal (I paid 27k for my 400miles pre reg) as they are definitely a slow burner. Also, itt seems the more people experience the drive and see them in the flesh generally they are warming to them.

It won't obviously be in the same league as the FRS for residuals but as far as a new car purchase I think they will fare pretty well.
There will be relatively few CTRs of the current shape as there will be a newer model based on the new generation Civic which is out soon. The premier edition CTR we are building in white looks great, white with white alloys and red door mirrors with red end plates on the boot spoiler.

I found this to be the case with the MK2 RS and the ST too, I'm not tall either, 5ft 9", it seemed like I was sat in a high chair though.

Is this a runout for the current model or a new trim level on the next one?

I wonder if all these laps are done by The American? If not, it's not exactly a straight comparison as he weighs as much as two normal sized people!
