Nearly bins it? What planet are you from? If I hadn't have caught it the esp would have!
Wow now I understand why everyone slams this place off.
To put this to bed.
I like the car. I had a Clio 172 before which handled good but felt slow (no torque) it was noisy and uncomfortable. (Bare in mind on here 172's seem to be treated as the best thing
Now I have a nice modern car that handles even better and has more grip it's got more torque and is faster, it's comfy as hell, has all the options I need, has a decent sound system (you know for listening to music as it spends it's life on the public road) it is turbocharged and has plenty of tuning options if I want to go down that road too (I probably won't though)
It's a fact I like it. You know, because it does what I want a car to do!
Also my constant promotion of the car seems to have worked for the youtube channel that had 3 subscribers till this month
You lost it & as for advocating that your ESP would have saved it(which is probably what happened) shows your ambition out weighs your talent.Wow now I understand why everyone slams this place off.

Does your Polo have more grip & is it faster than the Clio of the same year as your Polo?

Lets get something straight I didn't lose it. If I had there would have been a crash. I simply (stupidly) assumed the Twingo knew where he was going and followed him way too hot into a corner that suddenly got a whole lot tighter very quickly. It got sorted out. No damage, no drama, no worries. Guess it disproves that all VW's do is understeer
BUT I won't play into the baiting hands any longer.
Especially not when it's perpetrated by a bunch of jumping on the bandwagoners that get hit with the back hand by their hairy wives straight after they get off their computers. Faggots
fk you and have a nice day!

Polo > Civic > RS
Job jobbed, looking forward to the next update
But I thought it was Polo > Civic > Megane > Golf R > M135> 335d > MX5 > RS?

That seems to be the Summary of this Thread. Which I've just read and found truly bizarre! But I thought it was Polo > Civic > Megane > Golf R > M135> 335d > MX5 > RS?
However, anyone desperately wanting to read gushing praise for their new purchase - and subsequently getting really irate and irritable to the point of needing to defend and argue "the facts" when their pride and joy is not seen as Number 1 globally - is going to be really disappointed that the new Media darling of super-hatches is going to have a very, very short Reign with the advent of the BMW M140i! (Isn't it funny how the Media is infallible and always right when they sing songs about something you like but are corrupt and false when they suggest something else is better?)
Having now driven a few Competitors of the much-lauded and Awarded and truly brilliant Golf R, my personal scorecard would read:
Merc A45 AMG > Audi RS3 > Golf R > Audi S3 > BMW M135i > Ford RS > Honda Civic R.
Soooo, what can we conclude? Well, as I'm in the mood to drop something semi-controversial into this, one of the most pathetic Threads on PH so as to keep the Theme going, The White Collar cars are all better all-round packages than the Blue Collar cars (Western Ford and Eastern Honda).
I did like the Ford RS. Not as Chav as I had feared. I can see the appeal. Not for me, the Interior is, alongside the Civic's, the worst of all the Super-Hatches and ergonomics and interior appeal are important to me if I'm spending any significant time in a car. Drift Mode seems silly to me - if you must drift, get a proper RWD car. Like the M140i. The RS does corner well and goes well but...
Like all the top Super-Hatches out there, unless you are reckless and stupid, they are pretty much equal on Public Roads; I can enjoy them all on a spirited run and they all seem so close to each other it is pure nit-picking to try and fathom a discernible difference if you must identify a Champion.
On Track, it may well be different and for those that enjoy that, I read the Megane might be King.
Great cars, one and all! (Including the RS and Civic R).

I do agree with you RE the drift mode - I'm sure it makes for a good laugh, but it doesn't look like real drifting from what I've seen and read. Apparently it feels strangely artificial, but then again I suppose it would do. I echo what you say that if you want to drift, then a well sorted RWD will do the job no problem.
Megane will always be king (I hope)

Pissed on heads.
Joe before you go oversteering off into the distance remember no one criticised your choice of car (that will always be down to the individuals needs) what has kept us all utterly amused is that you steadfastly refuse to acknowledge that as a hot hatch your car is an average one.Pissed on heads.
By the way you did momentarily lose it but it's okay as most of us on here will have done but what we didn't do was put it on youtube & then steadfastly deny that to when the evidence was there to see
Don't go Joe this & the ten best hot hatches has been one of the funniest threads for a while.
