I think this is the car the MP412c should have been from the outset but good on them for getting there eventually, still yet to see a 570 in the wild though, are they selling ?

I saw one on the A34 north of Oxford last weekend. Looked superb. Much want.

I wonder what the split of orders is, GT to S? I'd be ordering a GT given the choice.

Oddly enough having just read this thread (and replied), I set off on my afternoon's business, only to stumble across a 650S (black) and 570S (dark grey) parked next to each other. The 570S drew my attention much more, the rear styling on the 650S carried from the 12C somehow looking dated already.

I saw one at the motor show this year. By far the car of the show for me. Stunning.

I like this McLaren. It's a McLaren, but it has a practical side, and looks better to my eyes than the S... not in white though...

Really do like this. Although I’m ashamed to say I’m struggling to tell the McLaren model line up apart. As any self confessed petrol head should be able to do, I can usually pick out a model from 100 yards – 911s easy as to whether they’ve got wide bodies/rear arch vents etc, but I just don’t know whether I’m seeing 540/570/650 when I do rarely see a McLaren.

Not that it’s an issue, and probably a good thing from McLaren's perspective. Just a frustration when I drive past not knowing what it is I’ve just seen...
Do you honestly say that you cannot tell the difference between a McLaren 650s and a McLaren 540/570?

Ok, the 540/570 are visually identical and will be impossible to tell apart but the 650 is a completely different car that does not share a single body panel with the Sports series cars.

Side on...

540C/570S

650S

Yes there is a strong family resemblance but no more so than any other manufacturer really. However if you can tell the difference between a 911 Carrera and a 911 Carrera 4 then the McLaren's should be blinding obvious smile

Call yourself a petrol head winkhehe

ps. I think the 570GT is clearly the best car they make. With that money in the bank I can't actually think of anything I would prefer.
Good point, well illustrated, but unfortunately they do all look the fking same. hehe

I can tell the difference between McLarens but not 911s.

Does not bode well for 650 residuals, or is the number so small it does not matter?

570 seems good value

Mclaren seem to be flogging a dead horse even when it's been buried. Yet another version of the failed MP4-12C.
Time to start again guys, come on.

Don't know what "Americans" you talk to, maybe you confused Richard Hammond for one, but I've never heard ANYONE refer to a front storage compartment as a "frunk".

Maybe you heard an Argentinian and got confused?

McLaren - far, far more appealing to me than any Ferrari... and this GT looks absolutely fantastic.

Can't believe we're 3 pages in and he's not appeared tbh!

Love the car, certainly seems to be the sweetspot in the range.
