Peugeot 206. Awful thing. Truly crap cars. I don't know why they're so common.

I'm so sorry you had to endure this but find the resultant Stockholm syndrome unsurprising, it's good a coping mechanism.

I quite like them for what they are. I'm using one right now as a stop gap. Cheap to buy and run, will never get washed or serviced and will happily be left on any dodgy street.

Just back from holiday, and had a new Fiat Tipo diesel as an "upgrade". A desperate car and one of the worst I've driven (alongside a Ford Fusion, Nissan Almera and Lancer 1.3 auto).

Talbot Solara. Used to start little wiring fires all by itself, once memorably, whilst I was filling the petrol tank

redcard the astra is still a woeful piece of worthless fking st designed by accountants who think they are in marketing. I have driven numerous versions of the new one including a GTC (why does enterprise have a GTC?) all of varying specs/trim level. They were all terrible in every measurable way. The 1.6 petrol one was actually dangerous. I'm firmly of the opinion that we should wipe Vauxhall off the face of the planet, they serve no purpose and reinstating Rover would be better.
Our default company hire car is a 1.4 Astra. Every time I have one, it goes back with warning lights on the dash.

Citroen Xsara Picasso diesel auto I got given as as hire car once. Positively dangerous levels of roll and understeer to the point where it was pushing wide at 20mph on a large roundabout. I assumed it had a flat tyre but they were all fully inflated when I checked.

I'm buggered if I'm going to skim through 20 pages to see if this horror has been mentioned but I was unfortunate enough to be stuck in a 2010 Astra Ecoflex 1.3 Diesel for a few months as a company motor.

It was the most godawful contraption I've ever had the misfortune to drive. Changing down through the gears to avoid slowing down on a slight motorway incline, trying to get a 300 yard clear stretch of road to perform any sort of overtake. It really was an utterly hideous machine.

Many years ago I was given a new Volvo 240 as my company car. It probably was very safe if you had a crash but the chances of a crash were frighteningly high because the handling was so awful. It was also slow and for me anyway, the seats were very uncomfortable. I have never had another Volvo because of that.

2016 vauxhall insignia so far.
Didn't like it at all, steering was too light, clutch had no feel to it, neither did the brakes. It was like driving with all of my limbs being numb.
Ooh that too - hated it.

Also hate Astra & Corsa.

Trust me - Mokka worse than the worst bits of all three combined. hurl

I'm having a laugh at all the nice cars people are complaining about. Worst you've driven, sure, but I haven't seen much here that justifies "truly horrendous".

I had a 1994 Nissan Sunny as a rental car in 2010. 1.4 auto. Overtakes were impossible and with 3 adults it would struggle up any incline. It had a gear change point at about 78kph so if you were driving in an 80kph limit it would constantly be changing up and down. The seat belts were perfectly positioned to slice your head off in a crash.

Or there's my 1985 Nissan Datsun ute. You can see the ground from the driver's seat. Turn the wheel half way and nothing happens. The 1.6 unturned engine gave a top speed of 80kph downhill, unless you actually had a load in the back. Then top speed was 50kph. It would take a mile just to stop it. Radio only had one speaker, on the passenger side. It was inaudible over all the clatter, squeaks, and roaring engine. The ignition barrel is worn so you just need a screwdriver to start it... but that didn't help when someone tried to steal it but couldn't hot wire it!

Did you drive the Corsa now, or back in 2003. If it was recently, then 13 years of lack of servicing, fat arses on seats, worn out suspension and general abuse might account for a lot of your experience.

Worst car I have ever driven would be the (then new) 1.3 Nissan Micra that I learned to drive in aged 17. An utterly hateful thing with no redeeming features at all.
Sounds just like my first car, MORRIS TRAVELLER circa1958. I believe this was the first car to have a digital clutch!

Just had a Nissan Micra 1.2 as a rental.

Among cars currently on the market this must be one of the bottom lows. Absolute crap gutless engine, going up hills at 30-40 mph, absolutely ste handling and interior design from the early 90s.

Utter stbox and the rental car agent assured me it's in the same class as a Polo following their logic laugh

This sounds dire.
I have a 13 plate 1.6 tD Picasso (from new) which drives a dream. Total comfort and cruises (smooth) at 85-90 for 5+ hrs at a time. Brighton to Inverness with 1 stop for a P** (Stirling). Seats among the best (even Merc) Gearshift crisp and tight and with plenty of kickdown power when needed. Speed tops out at about 115.
Still a good comfortable distance tool for me with spinal problem.
Even had favorable comments from CIVIC R type driver as passenger!
I now struggle into and out of my 10 reg MX-5 erht 160bhp/2 litre

Peugeot 2008, stupid gearknob, stupid handbrake that you have to pull up to release. Can't see the dials if you have the steering wheel in a comfortable position, fuel gauge always looks like it's reading 1 line under full due to parallax error. Gutless 3 cylinder engine, horrendous clutch that feels like it's already worn out, the biting point is near the top of the pedal travel. AC that makes more noise than cold air, stty infotainment system that takes a year to load anything and is impossible to comprehend. And to top it off you look like a mong in it.

Chevrolet (formerly Daewoo) Kalos. It seemed to be made of the cheapest, flimsiest and brittle plastic known to man. The whole thing rattled and shook at any speed above walking pace - the controls (steering wheel, gearshift, handbrake, etc.) were all flimsy, wobbly and lacking any firmness whatsoever. This was in addition to a distinct lack of power and a vague gearbox that required a great deal of porridge-stirring to find 3rd.

I've driven some horrible cars - (Fiat Cinquecento with no brakes, Astra 1.3 cdti with no power both get an honourable mention) but that Kalos took it to the next level.

Metro City X.

Fixed seat back so you had to sit bolt upright. Gutless 998cc (I think) engine. Massive (tall) gear lever which wobbled all over the place.

Plastic seats. No rear wash/wipe. No heated rear screen. Wind up windows. No radio.

Just a hateful piece of ste.

A999 UOX. Are you still alive? Hope not. Hated you then. Still hate you now.
