15 plate Astra SRi diesel. Absolute pig. It was a courtesy car provided by enterprise and I didn't think cars rolled/under-steered that badly anymore.

In reverse order, I had a BMW courtesy car which I thought would be a Mini or some such but it turned out to be a Peugeot 208.....just the sort of thing that teaches people that overtaking is for reckless speed freak killers!

So slow it was dangerous and an utterly joyless driving experience.....built for people who don't like cars.

My Sister's mkii Fiesta like the above but way worse build quality....it is only in second place as the above had electric windows etc....

Worst by a million miles was again, my Sister's mki 1983 Austin Mini Metro.....4 speed, terrifying steering, no radio, horrible handling and totally st brakes....all from new! The epitome of just why the British car industry had such a terrible reputation.

At 47, I can't get my head round all these teenagers driving round in new cars....my first car was a 1979 mki Vauxhall Cavalier.....the most understeering car in the world, at any speed!

Kids these days eh...... wink

Aixam 500. Try one. A Peugeot 206 feels like a rolls Royce afterwards. The most hateful pile of junk I have ever driven. 2 cylinder lombardini engine with a cvt gearbox and brake discs taken straight from a halfords mountain bike.

Either that or a perodua kenari. Like an underpowered postman pat van, only a lot more beige.

Done that. 2CV/Dyane far, far worse. The Aixam was much more entertaining.

Think you mean a Maestro. Maxis never had digital dashes!

Vauxhall Carlton 2.0cd Auto. Twas one of the slowest vehicles I ever drove. At the time I was driving a Toyota Corolla 1.3 Auto, it felt faster than the dreaded Carlton. And it was gold.

Citroen C4 Picasso 1.6HDI with the automated manual gearbox. No redeeming features whatsoever.

Oh, there’s another one. Very small brand new 3 cylinder Peugeot. It had lots of stuck on shiny bits and it drove and sounded like it was broken.

It was, it had lost a cylinder.

One more, 2017 Corsa, I think it was a cvt. Again brand new. Seemed broken. It just got louder when you put your foot down but didn’t go faster, Vauxhall had also achieved a miracle-very hard ride with terrible handling.

I had one of those, but in petrol, that was pretty gutless too and handled like a boat.

Probably an Easytronic; a work colleague/close friend had one. It is absolutely dire, hers was a 1.0 ecoflex mated to the jerkiest auto I've ever experienced - I reckon 0-60 was about 19 seconds.

Sounds like the one. Young women seem very fond of them for some reason.

My mrs has a 57 plate 1.4 Tiagra (folding metal roof)

Horrible, horrible thing. Gutless, dead steering.

She likes it, I can’t see why

Probably one of my series land rover's

atrocious to drive; noisy, slow, brakes... sometimes, about 12-15mpg

But the feeling you get from them is amazing as long as your not going too far.. or on roads with a speed limit more than 40.

they are contagious, we now have a collection of 8 classic LR's!!

Daewoo Matiz in snot green. 2000 model, absolute bag of $hite....

Nearly seized the engine at 80 on the M40 hired by an unhelpful office manager trying to cut corners and costs. Needless to say the next car to be hired was a Passat Estate....much better!

Hertz rental car MG6.

Some many things wrong with it but what stood out was the fact that when using the screen wash, you had to switch the wipers on separately. Add in the 1980s digital clock and general poor build quality and I couldn't wait to get out of it.

Had a 17 plate Giulietta? Today. In a word, awful. I can't imagine anyone taking that for test drive and thinking "yes, yes this'll do".

It rode quite nicely and it looks ok. That was about it. The headlamps were like candles and the high beam literally felt like you were shining a torch out the window.

Clutch felt like it was set in a bucket of stodge and the brakes...my word. Theres like a half foot of pedal travel where absolutely nothing happens and then you transition into emergency braking.

I can't believe someone signed that off. The 5 inch infotainment system was super low rent.

The engine (I guess a 1.4 multiair turbo) was ok. Bit weak in "natural" mode but quite chirpy in "dynamic". Thirsty though. Handling was quite inert, it went where you pointed it I suppose.
