Did buying a faster car spoil your classic/weekend car?

My cars are no longer that fast in comparison to a new hot hatch for instance.
However they are more than fast enough for the road and with narrow tyres, they get pushed hard at sane speeds.
I much rather have a car that is dripping in feel and can be tweaked through a corner on the road than something modern with easy speed and high limits. For that reason I will soon be changing my BMW to a smaller, narrower tyre.
So no, I am definitely in the simpler (an inevitably older) car camp.

I had them on my 328 and run the, on my 325ti as well - standard fit tyres on both
May also get a cross brace, strut bar and some better pads. Then will look out for a locking diff. Want it to be a great road/GT car. And quite sideways when asked for!
X brace was noticeable
If you want to be thorough, new engine mounts are good too - they improved handling feel a lot but mine had done 130k
Also eccentric bushes in front arms

Out of interest, what tyres are you running? I may go Dunlop Blue response, though the reviews seem to say they have lots of dry grip, something I don't really want. I want them to be predictable though.

Sorry Ozzie, don't agree with you there.
I like the 1st world problem of choice.
I love all of my cars for different reasons and enjoy driving them all because if the differences.
That's something I discussed with a golf addict friend in terms of having a superb putter, which doesn't mean you don't need woods or irons or wedges etc to enjoy golfing to the max. Then again some people aren't keen on golf and could walk round a golf course tapping the little white ball all the way with a putter because they don't care about the total number of taps, and for some people a car is white goods and one will do so it has to meet many requirements (not really possible).I like the 1st world problem of choice.

It is worth reflecting on why you enjoy driving the Yota; if it's because it is intergalacticly fast then you will almost certainly never drive it if you buy a Z4M.
If it's because you enjoy the handling, the engine noise, steering feel blah blah, of course you'll continue to enjoy driving it! Speed isn't everything...unless it's everything to you
