RE: Ginetta G20: PH Carpool
Discussion
Again thank you for all the great responses . I know British summers are normally non existent but so far I can't complain (I guess I've just ordered a wash out for the rest of the season with that comment though!). The aero screen doesn't look like it does a lot but it's surprisingly effective although you'll still be quite brave to drive without a helmet on.

Great choice of car in a fine colour. Try to avoid much in the way of upgrades, these are usually best left as the came out of factory. Keep it simple, less to go wrong .
Thank you, the upgrades I would like to do would bring it in roughly the same region as the G20 championship spec cars so nothing over the top although I do understand what you mean .Absolutely stunning car - I'd have one in a heartbeat I reckon. An ex-race G20 tintop is something I'd considered as a Seven replacement, assuming I could convert to road-legal, but I must admit, that looks amazing. I think the only downside is that to track an open car means a rollcage and judging by the pics I've seen, the cage thoroughly ruins the stunning, stunning lines. Maybe I could just hunker down, eh?
Chapeau OP.

So your first car of choice (as opposed to the compulsory first car fiesta) is a Ginetta?!
You sir are a PH Champion, I doff my virtual cap to you.
Lovely lovely car!

Thank you , there's a yellow coupe that's been converted for the road and I think it's running a v6 (pretty sure the owner is/was on PHs's). Not sure how hard it was to convert though, but I know the G20 cup cars had a very substantial rollcage which made it quite different from the road going cars like mine. Personally I don't mind the roll hoops/cage but I understand what you mean. Although surely it would be down grading going from a caterham to one of these?!Chapeau OP.
Hye there,
Mail you from France, and i think that i've bought the twin sister !!!
I'll try to send a picture of mine, just out of the garage for a 6 weeks "major service", and ready to LE MANS trip next week.
Best regards.
Olivier

Hye Matt,
Yes, a 1.8 16V Zetec, and, by the way, it's the last real topic that i have to check because, when the engine is warm, it is a little capricious, and don't want to take the full rpm over 4000...and that begin to upset me very seriously !!!
The car was stored in Spain for probably too long, and i went on a full strip and full replace of cooling system, water pump and cam belt. Put a quick rack 2,5 turn, change wheels for ROTA RB Royal Gun Metal, change seats, new harness, 300 mm steering wheel.
And brought back the electric wiring to the "roots"
Regards.

This is the yellow CoupeIt is indeed a V6 and JamesG20V6 is/was the PH owner
The yellow coupe with V6 is still on sale in France, where it is now registred.
It's on a website since 4 month, and don't seems to interest anyone, probably too specific an exotic for French taste !
