That is not in the least bit unusual. Rear brake calipers on some models of Peugeot 307 are the same as those used on Audi A8s, for example...
Was just thinking it was more odd because of the age gap between the cars! Never mind...

Has anyone mentioned Jag XJ220 tail lights lifted form the Rover 200?
Or McClaren F1 rear lights from a Bova Bus (also used on TVR's)

Google says Porsche 968 for the tilted back headlights.

Maybe Mazda MX5 or MX3 indicators, but coloured orange?

Things like door mirrors, lights etc. save a manufacturer getting type approval.

Car magazine did an article about this in the early 90's which also included the cost from the manufacturer for a replacement. So, the CX (series 2 to answer the question) door mirror cost about £500 from Aston, about £250 from TVR and about £50 from Citroen (or this ratio).

The other thing I remember is the number of parts from Fiats that ended up in Ferraris which included complete switchgear. It was probably on the basis that no Ferrari owner would go near a Fiat so wouldn't realise the part that had just cost a fortune was also in a Fiat 128.

The BMW E30, beloved of IT sales reps, also used the Ford Capri headlights originally. I remember a memo coming around the company I worked for, telling staff to go to a Ford dealer for replacement headlamps as they were about a quarter of the cost for the same lamps. I put it down to the additional print cost of the BMW box.

Originally Sierra Ghia fog lamps/ indicators, then used on Sierra Cosworth, then Escort Cosworth (plus other sporty Sierras too).

Would the TVR units have had the doorhandle buttons in them though?

Don't know about the Countach. Am aware the Ferrari 308 GTB had the same boot/engine cover release as the X/19. Along with the stalks. Also shared with the Fiat 126 but let's just gloss over that bit as former X/19 owners shall we?

Land Rover Freelander 2 indicative and wiper stalks.

Don't know if they originate from Ford but I have them on my Discovery 2, if had them in Jag XFs and when I was in an F-Pace last week they looked and felt the same.

JLR also seem to share exterior door handles. Again are these a Ford hangover?

On the subject of door handles, Honda Ballade Rover 200 handles were used on the 800 the R8 200/400 and I think the Freelander.

We had a mini as a pool car and I'm sure the glovebox handle was out of a Rover 75/MG ZT.

Pretty sure that was the switch used on my old Puma for the electric height adjustment on the drivers seat biggrin
I'm fairly sure that I've used that switch on some machinery in my mis-spent yoof operating some packing equipment.
Another '80's Ford switch. 89 Scorpio I beleive, but likely an adaption of the '87 Orion Ghia version (square).
I've seen this switch used on an early prototype Jaguar F-Pace! Couldn't believe it could still be used, I remember it well from many 90's Fords. I don't think it made it to production (there's a challenge for you all). Remarkable if it still lives on.
Looks like it's made it to being the control for the (optional) electric rear seat recline on the F-Pace:
