Those are some sort of Ford / PAG group mirror, they are the same basic design on all Jaguars, Volvos and a couple of other things. Volvo switched to them on the P2 cars in the '04 MY. Very sensible example of sharing a common part.

Don't know about the Countach. Am aware the Ferrari 308 GTB had the same boot/engine cover release as the X/19. Along with the stalks. Also shared with the Fiat 126 but let's just gloss over that bit as former X/19 owners shall we?

Definately shared with the countach. My first car was an X1/9

As an elise owner I can really appreciate what a great piece of design the X1/9 was. It had two boots, a full size spare wheel, and storage for the targa top.
