There is a difference.
Yes the difference is one can be proven and one cannot at this point in time.

One question is based on speculation/assumption and one is based on facts.

Read it again; he's asking whether a car can potentially go faster than a bike. It's a speculative question, but he's not speculating/assuming anything.

That wasn't the answer to the question numb nuts.
Lap records are published, where is the one where the car is faster than the bike then "numb nuts"?
It was a speculative question, not someone who was confused with the facts as they stand today. You know that, stop being a pompous ass or worse, trying to be clever as you're failing. In my opinion a car would be able to go faster, that was the question, that was my answer.

The answer is yes you could build a car to lap faster than the bikes & no a car hasn't lapped faster than the bikes, but they had a good go.

Onboard from the Higgins-driven WRX on the press sighting lap. Didn't seem to hassle the standard car at all with a Vmax of ~110mph! Didn't seem to hassle Higgins either, blimey.
