Solved my issue with the car pass. I only viewed email in mail app on iPad before, just opened up full web version of my mail and bingo, a filled out pass. Just need my car back from the garage now!

Excellent stuff!

Rain is holding off here for now.

Well after being one of the first 12 chosen cars I heard the grand sum of F-all back after an initial email congratulating me on being chosen frown

So the weather here is still utterly rubbish I've seen maybe an hour of dry Weather in the past 48. Thinking about booking a hotel in the proviso it had an underground carpark. (also I'm a terrible camper!)

Anyone closer to donnington who can advise on conditions there?

It's been pretty dry overnight and no rain this morning yet...

If you're after an underground / covered car park, Nottingham will probably be your best bet. The Crowne Plaza for example has a pretty big covered car park.

Last email I received was around the end of May, so just thought the car was no longer needed :-(

I'm here. Had to pay for camping, they knew nothing about the ticket. Only £20 so not fussed.
Anyone else coming tonight? I'm near the bottom of the first field, woo have a blue tent pitched soon (hopefully anyway, first time I've used it).

What's the site like and the weather? I'm travelling down in the early hrs & camping tomorrow night.

Have you seen the display area ? If so thoughts ?

Site seems ok, weather good at the minute, bit dark. Haven't been onto the display bit yet, have to get up early for that. See you tomorrow 😊.

I've postponed until the morning was the weather has bitten the big one so I've only managed to ship a clean this afternoon.

I've also wussed and booked a hotel. Too much like sleeping in a tent!

Eta: aiming to get there for gates open or thereabouts.

We drove up from Cornwall and landed at the Donnington Manor hotel around 8pm. What a dump! It's like 1974 and the wallpaper is falling off due to damp. Made our excuses and found a Premier Inn at Loughborough.

Hopefully it will be sunny tomorrow.

Time to get up, get ready, and hit the road. See you in a couple of hours.

Left bath at 5:30. Currently sitting in the services about 20 miles away having breakfast. Car is filthy and I hit two birds on the way up so quite a lot of blood splatter!

Gutted for you. Hope it's soon sorted once you're back home.

I'm in Loughborough with my Mrs at minute, although I dropped my car over earlier. Nice cross section of cars although I'm guessing some won't be here till tomorrow?

Forgot my bloody crash helmet. tt.

I'd like to offer my apologies for not attending today after having my car chosen to represent the pistonheads stand.

I've emailed John-Joe and explained my situation which basically consisted of my not being able to retrieve my car from storage due to a family emergency from the proprietor of the compound yesterday.

I will be attending the show tomorrow as a paying punter and hopefully get the chance to meet some of you who are still there.

On another note has anyone got any pics of the display just to make me feel that little bit more pi55ed off than I already do?
