Cheers for the tips, mines a daily driver so it'll definitely be reflecting that with the stone chips etc, I'll grab some detailer before I head down, got Friday off to give her a good wash, wax and polish, weather permitting...
No worries at all. I've finished For the week now, but genuinely, the second I'd unlocked the front door, it's started raining, so here's hoping for a little good weather over the next couple of days. Otherwise I'll just have the cleanest interior you've ever seen!

Is anyone getting out on track?

I'm thinking of doing so, but mainly because I'd like a photo of my car running alongside something like an M1? wink

I'm off work tomorrow and Friday now, so hoping this drizzle (or mizzle as it's known down here) will dry up and give me a chance to polish the car?!

I'd love to do the parade lap on the circuit. I haven't really heard anything about this though. Is it something I've missed?

There's a track demo slot at 3pm Saturday and I think the same again on Sunday.

Yup, I've not heard anything but also have no problems with a gentle lap or two.

Just back from the shops with essential cleaning supplies....

Autoglym leather stuff
A couple of extra micro fibres and a nice New wash mitt because it was there and winking at me.
A rubber brush
And a pot of peanut butter.

Let the shininess commence.

If we are signed up to this, and are getting tickets from JohnJoe, do we need to be registered with the sunday service to get track time?

Any idea on how the display stand will be set up ? ie will the cars be on a stand behind marker tape or will joe public be able to get up close & personnel with sticky fingers opening doors and poke n prodding as I wouldn't fancy that.

I expect/hope that it will be like most car shows - ie a section of grass with a pistonheads banner above it. A few owners usually stay nearby. I like to stay near my car to answer questions and talk to people, and I don't mind well-behaved children having a sit in it, because to me that's what the day is all about.

The vast majority of people are very well behaved at these kind of events, at the very least 99% of people are completely respectful of the machinery. Which is more than I can say of any car park I've ever been in.

I've got my tickets and passes, all very excited now! Even better, my car is now ready to be collected so I shall be on the train at six am Friday morning to collect it at half nine then drive down to the Midlands.

It's all detailed and ready to go though I expect by the time I'm down to you guys it will be filthy and covered in dead flies! I may have to take you up on the lend of a shammy as I won't be able to carry much on the train with me.

From what I understand, the cars will be in a roped off area and folk will not be able to lean into them and scratch them with zippers and bags etc.

I've just had my vehicle pass etc emailed to me to be printed off once I get back to the office tomorrow. John-Jo said they will be coming through the post so don't know if 2 separate tickets/passes will be issued ?

How many of you are attending alone? I'm struggling to get someone to come along with me due to the short notice so It looks like I'm going to be billy no mates for the day hehe

Mrs Noname is still undecided, but I have a friend on the Sunday coming down to use a ticket if I am billy! If not he's going to use the old fashioned currency method!

Interior: Mostly done
Wheels: 3 done
Brakes: 2 done
Back: Completely done. Time for a cuppa

Got my pass now, anybody know what you have to put in the unique number and car number section of the vehicle pass?
The map of the paddock area doesn't show where we are being placed either, any ideas anyone??
I'm coming on my own too, my car has been in the garage all week and don't get it back until tomorrow (hopefully) so lots of last minute cleaning in order for me!

My car pass says PD on it (and I know that the Goon Squad are in GS which I've managed to crop out, but right on the pit entrance for them) so I am guessing we're here:

Also my unique number is populated, and the car number for me is 1/1 which I assume means one of one for this attendee, just the Reg to fill out.

Typically my printer is out of ink so I won't be sorting my ticket/pass till tomorrow.

I'm actually taking my Mrs for a romantic weekend break at a lovely hotel, that just happens to be a mile up the road from some sort of car show. hehe

Now I just need a couple of hours dry weather to spruce the car up a bit.

Weird - just a thought, how about saving the attachments and printing from acrobat reader (other pdf viewers are available)

By all means PM and I'm happy to have a quick remote session with you if you continue to be stuck!

No worries at all, according to the weather reports, all I can do tomorrow is re-hang a door card and refit my windscreen wipers, otherwise its a washout, so will be whiling away the day on the xbox!
