Predicatable really, as a Porsche afficionado, it has to be Porsche!
As I've just been to the local dealer with my Porsche mad 4 year old (good lad!), I'll plump for a 991 Turbo S daily for me, a Macan Turbo family wagon (much prefer the looks to the Cayenne) for the wife and a Boxster Spyder or (stretching it a little, in theory possible)- a 991R for some additional fun.
Otherwise, I guess Audi (R8 V10 plus), RS6 and S1 would work; or Mercedes AMG GT, GLE and CLS

It's amazing how many people don't read the OP, you'd think that was an important part of formulating a reply to a thread!
Also, why three? I imagine one is for your wife to drive, or else two would do fine.
For me it would have to be Mercedes, but that's just because I'm not a fan of the look of the latest R8 and BMW's top of the line car, the i8, doesn't really do it for me. It could be Jag though with an XJ, F-Type and F-pace combo.
Car for the other half: C43 AMG Estate
Car for my daily: E63 AMG Estate
Weekend car: AMG GT-S (upgrade that to the GT-R when it's available)

Haven't thought as far as engine sizes and trims but probably go with BMW due to the sheer range really.
I would have:
-Z4 for the wife and and go on road trips with.
-M4 Coupe for myself, think the M6 is just a little on the long size - would be good fun just to go on drives with.
-X5 M - not really sure, for daily commute and stuff...
OR not sure if this counts as it is technically BMW but instead of the X5 get a Mini Cooper S because why not.

That's not easy.. Really, no car company makes 3 interesting cars.
Ford Focus RS, Ford Mustang convertible and new GT when it comes out.. Hard to beat that, but kind of joy-less.. And a bit rubbish actually. Rubbish because you just know the replacements for all 3 will be better in every way.
My choice would be Fiat Panda 4x4 twin air, Abarth 500 and an Abarth 124 spider. Great little collection of fun cars.. Italian, cheap, great fun.
