a great thread one I have pondered often, though usually either a 2 or 4 car option. find 3 really hard to pick!

So (because currently Kidded)
BMW was always my go-to so;
i3 probably Rex nice wood and cloth interior, dark grey, lots of toys - for the short-distances
M6 GC, Tanzanite blue, a nice high-flow CAT - for the holidays
M2 in blue, manual, for the fun

or;
i3 again, or maybe an X5 m50d with all the toys de-badged
m2 in blue, manual, no tints
the new B7, in Tanzanite blue again

but I like the Porsche and JLR selections being made so;
FFRR hybrid, in green with a black roof - for the daily
XJ-R Harry Metcalf spec though I think black or grey rather than orange "lipstick" - for the long distance
F-type 3.0S cabrio, maybe a nice blue of some sort

From Stuttgart
Cayenne hybrid for the daily, maybe a Maccan Diesel S
991.2 GT3 RS (assuming one "could" get a deposit down on one)
Singer 911 (what? it's basically a new car and all the bits are Porsche)

I don't think I'd want three brand new cars, but in the spirit of the thread:

Alfa Romeo 4C
Alfa Romeo Giulia QV
Alfa Romeo 8C Disco Volante Spider by Touring

That last one is a bit of a stretch as you can't buy one from a dealership, but you can still have a new one built if you know who to ask.

Why do all the VAG garages not include Lambo, Porsche, Bugatti? Which makes me ask why are we all choosing Audi RS / R8'S when there are mucg better options??

For me.

Range Rover, possibly 3.0 diesel or perhaps an SVR is it came in a non sport body.
F-type SVR
XJ-R

Lot's of potentially ruinous fuel, tyre and brake bills sat there!

I imagine most posters don't consider a parent company like VAG to be in the spirit of 'cars from one manufacturer'.

Tough one. I'd really like to say Porsche, as I'd love a Boxster next to a 911 GT3, but I'm not sure I can bring myself to include a Cayenne. I can't even contemplate the Panamera. Maybe my wife would like a Macan? And can I get a Boxster with a new box with shorter gearing? I don't see the point of a six speed box with only three usable forward gears.

Apart from that, it would have to be an all F Jaguar list: an F type, an XF and an F Pace.

I'll have to join the Jag camp.

F type SVR Coupe, needs no explanation.
F type S manual, because I can't have the above with a manual.
Whatever the fastest F Pace is because I need something to take the family in sometimes.

Not wanting to repeat the Ferrari or Porsche suggestion how about a little left and a little stretch with Maserati!?

Quattroporte GTS - Black on Black obviously so i could pretend to be Mafia
GranTurismo MC Stradale - Sporty little number
Lavente - Mainly for the wife and daily duties - I'm sure you would be able to put a deposit down now, even if delivery was a week or two yet!!

I could live with this for a while!

If you have the money for 3 new cars then why would you give a hoot for an "economical daily"? If cost is an issue just drop a car, you'll never burn a new car's depreciation in a year even if you never stop driving it.

With that in mind, a fun sports car in the MX5 mould, a luxury wafty 5 series or similar and something big and rufty tufty that I don't mind throwing outdoor kit in and getting filthy.

Sooooo...maybe a Boxster (or go bigger to an F type or a 911), a 530/40 auto or Jag equivalent (whatever drove best) and for the outdoors I might go so cheap I really don't care and just buy a Dacia to abuse.

But in the real world I'd buy used. More fun. Especially if you plan to abuse it.
