Hi everyone.

Currently toying with the idea of getting a G40 but cannot find a whole lot on-line in the way of "honest" reviews.
Basically I intend to drive it daily, keep it on the drive and occasionally take it to track days.
Are there any owners out there that can tell me what they are like to live with in terms of regular use/servicing/reliability/sort of miliage they are ok for.
Love the look and the idea of a proper race car for the road but dread the idea of sitting at the roadside swearing or driving back to Ginetta every week to have parts fixed.

Any feedback much appreciated.

Cheers

A few owners posted in the ginetta section when it first came out. I think it's quite a harsh ride, quite a lot of noise, and some cars sucked fumes in I think but that has probably been solved/only affected 1 or 2 cars.

If you can accept that it's meant to be more "hardcore" than an elise.

I've driven one of these on the road, and i'd say 99% of people would not cope driving it on the road.
Within about 5 seconds the windscreen steamed up and the blower did nothing to help.

Very loud, rattly and uncomfortable.
I could drive it daily, but most people couldn't i'd say

Thanks guys for the input.
Safe to say the G40 has its fans but I really need something I can live with. So far that is not looking good smile
I am planning on driving one in the next few weeks so will report back.

I had a day in a Caterham. Had it's quirks but if you have ear protection you could use it daily. I can't imagine a Ginetta being much less refined than that!
