Is there any way of getting an idea of value for a set of, apparently, rare wheels without falliing foul of PH moderators?

Another website is OK, if that's the answer.

Just post a photo, or say what they are and see what happens?

Fair enough.

Compomotive CX501 3 piece. 15" 114.3pcd
8" fronts, 9" rears, with tyres, all of which have fewer than 1,000 miles on them.

I reckon they are worth around 500 quid, perhaps more if they were a different PCD

Thanks. That's what I'd thought, but somebody else told me they are very valauble (like three times that price), and if they are, then I'll sell them.

It depends what kind of cars it'll fit really, these kind of wheels are worth a lot of "scene" points and could be more valuable to the right buyer.

Not sure if you can link to other sites here, but there's a website with a name that rhymes with "wheel bores" which might be able to help.

But how old are the tyres?

Decade in a shed, they're shagged. Damn-near-brand-spankin', they're worthwhile.

Thank you. I had thought they were mainly 'Dub' scene, but I'll have a look.

Depends how long you're willing to wait, if you're not sure stick them on Ebay at £995 and wait.

15's aren't popular in the Jap market but if you wanted a set you'd never find them.

Someone probably thought they were BBS RC090 Wheels.

They look similar but sell for a lot of money.

they are an odd size. also depends on the centre bore what they will fit. if they were 4x100, the VW crowd would be interested. 114.3 would be for old Jap / Toyota cars ( AE86 ).

they were a BBS RM / RS copy. 500 for the set sounds about right ( ask the guy who said 1500 if he wants to buy them for that smile ).
