Not being funny but get a motor that's less likely to be nicked hehe there is no security device that will stop your car getting stolen if someone wants it bad enough.
No you're absolutely right. Obviously some are more suited to the car you're driving than others. I might have a look at the mod someone mentioned. My friend is a welder so he could do this for me relatively quickly.

I'm not saying there's is anything wrong with it, I'm saying it is OBSOLETE with my car, which it is. That it doesn't work as effectively with this model as it does with other cars, which it doesn't. They don't have to remove it, they can just drive down the road with it, even Disklok have stated this in the email they replied to.

Just stop now, you're an obvious troll and I refuse to reply to trolls. Bye!
Please post video footage of you driving down the road with the Disklok fitted then we'll see who the "troll" is. Of course, we'll be waiting a long time because it's now become clear you started this thread with the sole intention of wanting people to agree with you that the Disklok is a piece of crap and anyone that doesn't agree with you is a troll. Pathetic.

rofl

Here is the mod people do.

On a Ford forum people have been talking about this issue and have come up with this solution as another helpful poster pointed out.

I've contacted my welder mate, he should be able to do this for me. That would make it impossible to grab the back of the wheel which would sort the issue out completely.

Could welding a couple more inches to the length of the arm at the same time as you do the welding on the back, to make it hit the console/windscreen/gear lever etc. Just make sure you'll still be able to fit it in the first place though!

Yea I'll measure it out. I'll probably have to fit it on the same place every time. I might get one of those dash cams too, one that can stream to a server on a rolling system.

Dislock, Police wheel clamp not cheap.

Garage always seems the best.

Mine has to be garaged at night anyway.

I suspect he's just a Focus ST-3 owner who is in denial about the performance of this device.

If this thread were a dashcam video, everyone would be asking PhilUK to post up the 60 seconds from before the video started so we could all try to work out what the f*** it was that pissed you off so much.

get a bulldog wheel clamp, at least for home. Work a treat.
Couldn't they remove the wheel? Isn't alloy theft quite common?
Noooooo, not one of those ones. They sell hefty real wheel clamps that go around the wheel and cover the nuts so you cant take the wheel off.

Mine is made from really thick steel and goes on easy and is not comming off without drilling the lock out (not a 10 minute job)

Very secure, got it from a caravan shop as they are even easier to steal than an ST fiesta. Does the job really well. The only downside it, its not easy to carry in the 911, it only just fits in the front and weighs so much you would not want it loose, banging about around corners but as home security, its perfect.

I've literally just got home from buying a disklock. I also have a focus RS and I bought the smallest disklock available. It's a total money waste. It just flops round on the steering wheel with about 3 cm of play. And the bar touches nothing. Total waste of time.

So you've joined the forum, and raised a 6 year old thread from the dead , and added nothing that was already posted for a first post .

Nice work.
